Description:
The main purpose of our project is to compare the micro-organisms present at the traffic prone zone and food contaminated zone.
The overall theme of the project is as follows:
- To collect the air samples in the specified areas into the Petri-dishes.
- Pure colony isolation of the different microbes that are grown in the Petri-dishes.
- Characterization and identification of the isolated microbes basing on various staining and biochemical tests results.
- Finally to compare the amount of growth of microbes in the above specified two zones.

Description:
This project includes the isolation of genomic DNA from Bt-Cotton seeds using PCR technique and Gel electrophoresis Technique.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE :
Post Graduate Project : Dissertation on Three-dimensional characterisation of the geometry of the aortic valve.
The aim of this project was to obtain physiological 3D geometry of the aortic heart valve by using fluids – solid interactions computational models to study the behavior of the heart valve. Dissected porcine heart valve in a static pressure rig, was scanned using ultrasound machine and imported to create 3D models of the aortic heart valves by using simpleware software. Intercommissural distances were measured for each aortic heart valve and were compared to each other.
Under Graduate Project : Dc Defibrillator Calibration Unit
The main aim of this project is to calibrate dc defibrillator using micro controller based calibrator. Energy was discharged through resistor circuit to reduce/increase the voltage to 5v. This voltage waveform was sampled by ADC, which is in-built in microcontroller and then sampled valves were stored in RAM of microcontroller. Dissipated energy was determined from the sample valves and compared with output energy of defibrillator to a set value. Defibrillator calibration status was confirmed depending on the variation of the energy.
