Designation Group Head, Clinical Development (Growth Cluster)
Job Description Contribute to the clinical strategy of the cluster and to its translation into sound Clinical Development Plans (CDPs); serve as lead author or key contributor to clinical documents, including clinical trial protocols, reports and publications and integrated clinical documents for regulatory submissions. Support the Cluster head in the administrative and operational requirements of the Cluster and in people management. where appropriate.

- Work in a matrix team of clinical colleagues (other clinicians, statisticians and clinical research sciantists\associates), to prroduce clinical development plans, clinical trial protocols, reports and publicatons of high scientific, operational and ethical standard.
- Bear primary responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of clinical trial synopses and protocols.
- Address scientific and medical issues related to one or more projects in the Cluster. Pay special attention to serious adverse events occurring during clinical trials and potential safety signals.
- Liaise with the regional physician(s) to ensure alignment of clinical trial activities.
- Coordinate the preparation of the Investigator Brochure (and updates) and the Annual Safety Reports to Regulatory Agencies as applicable (eg IND/CTX),
- Contribute to the clinical sections of regulatory files, including SmPC.
- Contribute to the clinical components of "Due Diligence" and other clinical activities in support of Business Development and Licensing (BD&L).
- Provide medical support to Strategic Global Marketing in order to achieve Novartis Vaccine’s objective
- Support the Cluster head in representing of Novartis Vaccines in meetings with health authorities and the scientific comunity.
- Contribute to the operational and administrative management of the Cluster; manage direct reports if any (objective setting, performance assessment, career development).

- At least 10 years industry experience with at least 5+ years supervisory experience in clinical research.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Excellent skills in both writing clincial documentation and presenting information.
- Ability to function in multidisciplinary, multi-cultural teams in a matrix organization

- Relevant specialty\subspecialty training (e.g. paediatrics, infectious diseases,immunology, epidemiology)
