Muscle power refrigerator :
Muscle Power Refrigerator is a cooling system that converts the muscle power of athlete into cooling load to run the chilling unit in the GYM. By this device 75% of the muscle power is trapped and 8 degree centigrade temperature can be achieved by one hour of continuous cycling of the system.
In present scenario all the nations and organizations are developing new methods to save energy. The energy costs are day by day increasing exponentially as the fossil fuel as depleting. The cooling load in domestic AC and refrigeration of all over world is 8% of energy. Our project is a new step towards the saving of energy in small refrigerators. We have developed a exercise cycle for GYM which will use muscular power of the athlete to drive a chilling or refrigerator unit. Thus it will save the electricity which otherwise will be consumed in cooling devices. The energy saved by our muscle power refrigerator is approximately 25 KJ per hour.
