PROJECT DETAILS
M.TECH PROJECT :
Project Name : “Investigations on microstructure and mechanical properties of particulate metal matrix composite”.
Description : Several types of aluminum based MMCs have been developed for applications in Aerospace Industry. Particle-reinforced aluminum matrix composites (Al-MMCs) exhibit higher specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity and lower density as compared with gray cast iron.
Fabrication of Al –alloy reinforced with the SiC particulate composites by varying particle size (50 micro meters) and volume fraction of particles (0, 4, 8 vol %) and study of its microstructure and to study the mechanical properties of this MMC (Metal Matrix Composite). The effect of reinforcement on the properties is to be studied. Comparing the mechanical properties of heat treated composites with the non heat treated composites.
B.TECH PROJECT :
Project Name : “DESIGN OF THE CIRCULATING OIL SYSTEM FOR INTERMEDIATE GEAR BOX”.
Description : In this project Intermediate gearbox that drives the rollers of TK stand was originally designed for splash type of oil cooling. During operation it has been it has been observed that oil seals of the gearbox are not with standing the high temperature of the surroundings. So failure of bearing and gearing and oil leakage is taking place, which will damage the gearbox due to oil stagnation. As grease cannot effectively dissipate heat generated during transmission. So, there is a necessary to provide an effective lubrication system for IGB.
I was done my M.TECH project work in NIT CALICUT, IIT MADRAS, PESIT BANGALORE. My project title is “Investigations on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Particulate Metal Matrix Composite”. I can handle equipments like Furnace, Erosion tester, Abrasion tester, Shaper and etc.
I was done my B.TECH project work in Vishaka Steel Plant in Vishakapatnam. My project title is “Circulating Oil System for Intermediate Gear Box”.
