Job Description:
A. Should be able to :

a. Support the production activity at Santa Monica by ensuring the most optimal plant availability to achieve agreed production target
b. Realization of various assigned project targets within the budget provided and agreed time frame.
c. Manage maintenance activities and co-ordinate different functions to ensure the completion within the agreed budget and the time frame.
d. Conceive and implement modern maintenance techniques, computer based systems for preventive maintenance, designs and documentation and optimization of manpower availability on job.
e. Develop and train personnel reporting to him.
f. Ensure effective communication within the section including shop floor technicians.
g. Ensure that SOPs are prepared & reviewed periodically for all the activities carried out by Plant Engineering & also training the people on following the SOPs.
h. Reside in our housing colony.

B. Knowledge and Skill required:

1. Preferably Engineering graduate in the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering having experience of erection and maintenance in chemical industries for a period of 5 to 7 years, out of which at least 3 years in the responsible position. In exceptional cases, diploma holder may be considered with more experience.

2. Knowledge and experience in planning, making project reports, specifications, procurement, erection and commissioning of machinery, equipments and piping of the factory and its subsequent maintenance including drawing and documentation.

3. Knowledge and experience in preparing Capital expenses and Manpower budgets and their controls.

4. Knowledge regarding various good engineering norms and code of practices including Indian Standard Specification or National specifications pertaining to engineering material selection, erection, commissioning and maintenance .

5. Knowledge regarding Financial controls like cost benefit analysis.

6. Knowledge of various statutory regulations and their implications particularly in the fields of Factory, Boiler, Explosive and Electrical Inspectorates.

7. Knowledge of gSAP will be an added advantage.
