Job Description:
Purpose of Position:
To assist the Project Managers and Head of Projects to establish, maintain, monitor and report on project specific budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
? Review existing project budgets
? Prepare initial order of magnitude budgets for new projects
? Review, certify contractor invoices and prepare Project specific payment schedules
? Assist Musstir multidisciplinary team to manage external QS consultants and review their work including
• Pretender cost checks
• Prequalification documents for Consultants and Contractors
• Tender Evaluation
? Assist Musstir multidisciplinary team with project Value Engineering exercises
? Establish and maintain record of local current Consultant Fees, Construction Rates and Authority permit/approval charges
? Prepare cost reports for all projects for internal use

Job Context / Work Environment:
As Musstir LLC is a start up company, the Const Manager will be involved in multiple functions at different levels. Energy and resources will also need to be shared in establishing the companies project cost management policies and procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
? Bachelor of Science – Quantity Surveyor
? Bachelor Engineering, Civil – Quantity Surveyor
? Diploma in Building Construction – Quantity Surveyor

Minimum Work Experience :
? Min. 10 years experience of which 5 last five years have been actively involved in major commercial, residential or hospitality developments

Other Skills & Competencies Required:
? Fluent in English, both written and oral, Arabic speaking an advantage
? Professional experience in Oman or in the Gulf Region an advantage
? Proficient with Microsoft office suite of programs, in particular Word, Excel, Project

Job Profile : As a quantity surveyor I am responsible to ensure the commercial and contractual interests for the projects. I had involved in preparation of various items as per standard mode and contract specification, quantity take off and measurements from site and from drawings. I was responsible for preparing of day work records, material reconciliation statement, interim valuation claims, preparation of new rate build ups, making estimated amount for new works, identifying the changes and preparation of the variation's cost implications, agree of measurements with the consultant and client, visiting the site with cost consultant to monitor the progress for monthly evaluation, collecting the relevant documents and correspondences for the claim for Extension of time & Extension time preliminaries, collecting all records for the stoppage days for the project, keeping all contemporary documents for records.
I am responsible for checking the subcontractor’s material at site and checking of their interim valuation, variations, and measurements according to the site, also involved in agreement of sub contractor’s final account and checking of subcontractors As-built drawings.
I am involved for finalization of as built drawings, coordination with site execution staff for understanding the site conditions, progress and follow up necessary site instructions.
I had prepared and submitted the final account for the projects Construction of Ship Repair Yard & Dry Complex at Duqm Port and also agreed the final Account with consultant and client.
Presently I am working as a MEP quantity surveyor for the projects Hasik Infrastructure Master Plan Project. My key role is making interim valuations, preparation of variations, agreeing new rates and variation claims with the cost consultant, Preparation of material reconciliation statements, Preparation of Subcontractors Payment Certificates and all other contracts related works for the project and also involving in Business plan revisions and preparations.
