Role:
• Perform statistical and microeconomics research including design approach
• Develop techniques and computer algorithms for data collection, ensuring thorough information collection,
• Prepare data for subsequent analysis; Clean data using appropriate variable treatments, ensuring quality control procedures practiced throughout process
• Summarize data along different dimensions, view data from various angles, leveraging profiling techniques at different stages of analysis
• Develop insights from conclusions of analysis that integrate with initial hypothesis and business objective

Desired Candidate Profile:
Responsibilities:
• Define modeling exercise and makes the appropriate choice of tools
• Guide Analysts in structuring analytical approaches
• Lead Analysts and Junior Modelers in modeling
• Build models as and when required
• Handle multiple tasks with different priorities
• Hands-on skill set of Junior Modelers in addition to additional responsibilities of Senior Modeler

Candidate profile:
• Masters in Statistic /Economics from a reputed institute (DSE, ISI) with 3 – 4 years of work experience OR
• Phd. In Statistics/Operations Research/Econometrics with 2 years work experience.
• Experience in the areas of building statistical models for predicting customer behavior based on observed behavioral data is desired.
• Experience in working with complex data structures and large datasets in a real business setting will be valuable.

- Under Risk Analytics Department - Making Analysis Reports i.e. combination of Result summary as well as Exposure summary by working on Risk Link and extracting details through SQL from backend tables and making reports thereby informing clients about their exposures and losses and suggesting possible reasons for the results by analyzing the same.
- Under Exposure Refine Department (which is an extension to the Risk Analytics Department) – Deeply studying client data in terms of exposure, results, any bias coding, bulk coding, sensitivity testing (i.e. change in results with best and worst situations). It also involves the usage of our new software mentioned above i.e. Data Quality Toolkit and informing client about the quality of data based on certain scores which gets produced by Data Quality Toolkit.
- Also making a Teaser Reports and Full Fledge projects from Data Quality Toolkit and educating clients about the usage of Data Quality Toolkit and the quality of their data so as to reach the accurate results.
- All the reports mentioned above are either sent in MS Excel or as a Power Point presentations to the clients depending upon their requirements
- Individually handled project to Benchmark Property Insurance Industry data in terms of Completeness & Accuracy. Spent one month at RMS London office to give a shape to this project by working in close coordination with one of largest reinsurer in an industry.


Job Responsibilities in XL India Business Services Private Limited:
- Provided RMS Modeling support to underwriters in Europe and US. Handling CAT Modelling Processes for risk analysis by working on Risk Browser.
- Provided Analysis reports while quoting the account.
- Worked on the Premium Calculation Tool.
- Also given the process training to new team members.
