Job Description:
1. To look after Stores inventory management.
2. Improve the lead-time from the receipt of the material and issue to shop floor.
3. Improve storage density ( Number of SKU ( item codes ) in square meter area)
4. Expense Optimization of carriage inwards.
5. Productivity improvement of Stores .( items put away and picked in one man hour)
6. Productivity improvement of packing.( Pumps packed in one man hour)
7. Delivery accuracy of dispatches.
8. WIP control and lead time control of sub-contract items.
9. Jointly responsible with MRP for days of raw material and stores inventory, by running an efficient logistics from supplier to shop floor.
10. On time delivery of spares
11. Lead time reduction of spare deliveries.
12. Build and maintain “Spare warehouse” within factory.
13. Thorough knowledge and experience in inventory and stores management
14. Excellent leadership qualities, conflict management skills and communication and presentation skills
15. Exposure to lean manufacturing specifically Kanban management and Milk run logistics
Desired Candidate Profile:
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in First class from a reputed institutes with 10 - 15 years of industrial experience.
- Should have hands on experience in sub-contracting and logistics function in a an Engineering Company with standard products with hands on implementation experience in SAP R3
- Adequate exposure to supply Management.
- Hands on experience in SAP - MM, PP and IM.
- SAP project implementation experience in IM and proficiency in MS Office is a desirable
