Job Description:
Purpose of Position:

To assist the Heads of Projects with simultaneous delivery of projects under construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in development of Project Management Plans for each individual project incorporating both cost plans and programmes.
Lead a Musstir multidisciplinary team as required by the specific project and coordinate with external Project Managers to:
Prepare and evaluate contractor prequalification documents
Call and evaluate tenders
Overseas construction activities
Commissioning and handover
Monitor Program and budget
Monitor HSE appropriate standards on site are maintained
Manage construction permit and approval process
Prepare reports and make presentations as required
Participate in project Value Engineering exercises

Job Context / Work Environment:

As Musstir LLC is a start up company, the Construction Manager will be involved in multiple functions at different levels. Energy and resources will also need to be shared in establishing the company’s site activities policies and procedures.
The position entails working on both local and international projects that may require frequent traveling.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Minimum Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor Architecture
Bachelor Engineering (civil/structural or Building Services)
Bachelor of Applied Science - Construction or Project Management
Or similar from an internationally recognised tertiary institution

Minimum Work Experience :

Min. 10 years experience in actively been involved in the delivery of major commercial, residential or hospitality developments
Professional experience in Oman or in the Gulf Region an advantage

Other Skills & Competencies Required:
Communication skills in English, Arabic (preferred) - Both written and spoken
Interpersonal skills
Project Handling and Time Management Skills
IT skills
Proficiency with programming software (Mircosoft Project or similar) and Auto Cad an advantage
Experience with electronic PM/Information transfer systems, Aconex/Prologue or similar an advantage
