Job Description:
This position is of strategic importance to the organization. The company has taken a strategic decision to implement INFOR LN ERP (earlier known as BaaN) at its multiple locations. Although the company has historically been on BaaN IV, this must be construed as a green-field implementation. Reporting to the CEO, the position will get all support needed for success. The assignment includes:
Leading the ERP implementation and taking it to its logical conclusion
Plan the implementation w.r.t. time lines, resources allocation, associated risks and their mitigation strategies, associated costs and roll out strategies
Successfully implement the approved plan
Ensure meeting the organization’s needs and expectations from the implementation at a strategic, operational, reporting and control perspective
Assist in identifying and selecting the right implementation partner
Work closely with stake-holders (internal and implementers) to get firm buy-ins
Bringing up issues to the steering committee, offering alternatives and closing them
Expectation Management – at management and operations level
Identify best practices within the ERP and convince stake-holders for an enforced BPR
Desired Candidate Profile:
The right candidate would:
Be an Engineering Graduate. An MBA would be to advantage
Has had at least two complete implementation cycle as a Project Manager (from an implementer) OR has been responsible for the overall success of the implementation from an end-user perspective on INFOR LN
Is exposed to best practices across functions and is aware of their implementation within the LN ERP environment
Has worked across multiple functions within an organization/s and has a holistic understanding of various business functions and their interdependence on each other
Experience in a Foundry which is an Automotive supplier will be preferred
Have the ability to work with teams, resolve differences amicably and come up with working solutions.
Have basic experience in the Hardware and networking aspect of any Enterprise-wide implementation
Have experience in leading and managing roll outs at other locations
Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, a good negotiator (internal and external), someone who could work at getting support and coming up with golden means
Be able to present multiple scenarios to the management w.r.t. Utility, risk and the associated expenses and help the management in taking the correct decisions
