Job Description:


- Understand functional requirements documentation and release notes in depth so as to be able to identify gaps between the required and actual product performance parameters.
- Develop test cases, test data and testing scripts for both manual and automation testing; execute operational test flows with adequate technical depth in order to ensure complete and comprehensive testing coverage.
- Document proof-of-test results for timely engineering resolution, and verify, test, close test-outcome issues. Should ensure effective defect tracking and document the outcomes clearly and in a timely manner. Provide test execution reports to Team Lead on a periodic basis.
- Collaborate with beta-site testers in issue replication and resolution whenever required. Log defects in the Defect management tool on a regular basis.
- Work with counterparts to help plan, build, operate and maintain the testing environment.
- Reconcile test results from different tests and different groups.
- Perform thorough, comprehensive peer reviews of test cases developed by team members in a way that identifies to the maximum extent possible issues/errors in the deliverable.
- Ensure adherence to quality norms prescribed through ISO, SDLC, STLC, CMMi etc in all activities.


Candidate Profile:


- Exposure to testing software using contemporary defect detection and other relevant tools, ideally in a product environment.
- Good knowledge in OOPs concepts, programming skills.

Project was developed using the tool VISUAL BASIC 6.0 with its back end as MS ACCESS. Project aims at collecting information about civil workers.it has three modules namely labour,attendance and salary. User can login and view his details provided by the administrator,also the attendance is recorded on daily basis and salary is calculated on monthly basis based an attendance and leave taken.
MINI PROJECT : Online Art Gallery
Project was developed using the tool ASP.net with its back end as SQL SERVER. It is an online application, which is used to display and sell artworks of artists irrespective of their nationality, gender and other narrow consideration, through auction. Artist can register online for being a member in the art gallery and can upload the digital copy of their work under respective categories. The artist is liable to pay a fraction of each artwork to the website. Customers can also register online and browse artworks scientifically.
MINI PROJECT : Mangalore Plane Crash
This multimedia project has been designed the 3D MAX software and edited using the ADOBE PREMIER SOFTWARE. portrays the plane crash that occurred in Mangalore months before
MAIN PROJECT : Content Based Image Retrieval
Project was developed using the tool J2EE with its back end as MS ACCESS. CBIR is an Application of computer vision to satisfy the problems faced in image retrieval. It deals with searching images in large databases. The Search will analyze the actual content of the image, Content-Shapes, textures or other information that can be derived from the image itself. The aim of this technique is retrieving images on the basis of automatically-derived features such as colour, texture and shape based on different algorithms. The project has three modules search by algorithm, photo annoatation and photo retrieval. Users needing to retrieve images from a collection come from a variety of domains, including crime prevention, medicine, architecture, fashion and publishing.
SEMINAR : Five Dimensional Optical Recording
It is the process of recording signals on a medium through the use of light, so that the signals may be reproduced at a subsequent time. To cram more data on DVDs it uses wavelength and polarization dimension. Researchers have exploited the surface Plasmon resonance of gold nano-rods by manipulating the light pointed at them. The amount of incoming laser light absorbed by the nano particles depends on its polarization. we would be able to record 1.6 terabytes. They could provide a boon in the financial, military and security areas.
