    Projects During Course :
Project name : Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle.
    Duration : 3 months
    Team size : 4
Description : The circuit of Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle is divided basically into two parts, transmitter part and the receiver part. The transmitter part has a keypad at its input. The keypad is made up of 16 keys. These keys are nothing but switches which when pressed signify an operation. These keys are connected to the microcontroller. The microcontroller uses poling method to identify which switch is being pressed. The microcontroller generates specific codes for different switches being pressed. This data is then encoded and transmitted using ASK transmitter module, based on OOK modulation.
The output of the microcontroller is parallel data given to the data encoder. The data encoder encodes this data from parallel to serial before giving it to the RF transmitter module. The RF receiver module receives this data through the antenna and gives it to the data decoder, which converts this serial data to parallel data. This o/p is given to the microcontroller. The microcontroller contains algorithms stored in its memory, and as it gets input data through the data decoder, it identifies the operation to be performed according to the algorithms. These operations are nothing but driving the motor on. So we require a motor driver to drive the motor. These motors then perform various operations.
    Academic Projects :
    Mini Project
    Project Title : Wireless Switch.
    Duration : 2 Months (Jul-Aug 2010)

Description : Normally, home appliances are controlled by means of switches, sensors, etc. However, physical contact with switches may be dangerous if there is any shorting. The circuit of wireless switch requires no physical contact for operating the appliance. You just need to move your hand between infrared LED and the phototransistor. The infrared rays transmitted by LED is detected by phototransistor to activate hidden clock, flush system or else.
This circuit is very stable and sensitive compared to other AC appliance control circuits. It is simple, compact and cheap. Current consumption is low in mili amperes.
    Seminar During Course :
    - Human-Following Mobile Robot in a Distributed Intelligent Sensor Network.
