Job Description:
Receives direction from and reports to

The Project Manager

Key responsibilities and tasks (focussed on result areas)

To coordinate with Sub Contractors and engineering staff on all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical & Piping System works and ensure that provisions are made and requirements are met as per specification requirements.

Supervise the production of co-ordination drawings to ensure that all services are coordinated with each other and the structure is complying with the contract requirements.

Ensure all works drawings are comprehensive and discussed with the various engineers for the best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other parties and main contractor.

Provide reminders, in advance, to the Project Manager and Construction Manager for any anticipated conflict that may happen in the future with respect to the simultaneous activities of all MEP trades and main contractor.

Coordinate with local authorities related to all necessary MEP requirements for the project.

Perform other tasks assigned by the direct manager which include but not limited to the above mentioned duties.

Minimum 10 years experience in the Construction Industry in which 3 to 5 years in projects related to the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate should have the stature and the ability to manage specialist subcontractors on behalf of the Main Contractor, attend and represent the MC in progress meetings with the Client and coordinate the MEP works with other trades.

Responsibilities :
- Overseeing design discrepancies through all areas of the project by interfacing with entire project team and hence facilitate the necessary information for construction works.
- Review of the Tender drawings, construction issue drawings, and highlight necessary changes as and when required to be incorporated in shop drawings for consultant approvals.
- Co-ordination with departments such as Electrical/ Mechanical / HVAC/ Architectural / Structural to ensure proper information and work flow.
- Ensure that environmental regulations and governmental regulations are abided with during the design phase of the project covering all aspects.
