BRIEF WORK EXPERIENCE
i. Presently working as Manager Logistic in M/s. Coastal Energy Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata since February 2008, Involve in Logistics & Supply chain / Contract & Commercial finalization / Control over Shipping agent, CHA, Vsl Agent, Vendors / . Responsible for Haldia & Paradip Port, overall in charge of Imported Coal supply chain solutions like Warehouse Management, cargo movement through Road & Rail, Work out the ports berthing schedule. Control of operational costs in ports.
ii. M/S J M BAXI & Co., PARADIP as an Asst Manager from Sept’2004 to January’2008 in Port operation In charge for Bulk-Break Bulk Cargo, Project cargo, Container, project work ONGC & IOCL offshore base operation, Documentations with Customs, Port and others. Procurements, Daily operation planning & successful Implementation as per planning, accountability in Cargo handling, Stevedoring operation, cargo movement by Road & Railway and Manpower management and Logistic support. Present Responsibilities :-
i. Over all in charge of Shipping, Logistics, Road/ Rail Transportation and Port Operations for Paradip, Haldia, Dhamra & Vizag Port for Documentation, Cargo Clearance from Customs & port, Negotiation with Port, Vendors, Agents, stevedore, Railways, transporters.
ii. Contract & commercial management to the final level with Clients, Commercial Negotiations with Ports, Agents, Stevedore, Railways, vendors etc., Negotiation on Commercial Contract with Shipping Agents, C&F Agents, Handling Agents , Transporter, Ports, Railways, Vendors Management & monitoring of supply etc..
iii. Responsible for vessel operations, storage, QA & QC, Cargo maintenance and timely dispatches.
iv. Effectively maintain & utilize current and future assets (equipments, barge, Loader, excavators, etc)
v. To track cargo Movement status through Railways/ Road and accordingly update internal departments (MIS Reports and IT applications) and keep customers updated to affect early clearance of cargos.
vi. Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
vii. To ensure statutory compliance for insurance, claim services, etc and keep abreast of relevant changes in various rules, regulation and policy matters with Railways & ports etc.
viii. To prepare and maintain necessary documentation for compliance with regulatory requirements of Customs, Ports, Railways, Central Excise, DGFT, EPCs and other government departments.
ix. Participating in the long term strategy development and annual planning meeting for the logistics function in my Region.
x. Developing long term strategy for the trading unit’s demand and supply port folio.
