Job Description
BS & MS in Computer Science
Stated experience in complex data warehouse projects.
Oracle/PowerCenter Developer for the iDWH:
Responsible for business requirement analysis, design, development and maintenance using data warehousing applications
Getting the user requirements and translate them into Technical Requirements
Design, Code, Test, and Document applications based on a project's functional and business requirements
Develop ETL processes to load data from Flat files and Excel spreadsheet into the target database using PL/SQL scripts by applying business logic on transformation mapping for inserting and updating records when loaded
Develop Unix scripts to schedule the Jobs coupled with knowledge in Control+M will be an added advantage.
Develop Oracle procedures for loading and re-extraction of data to and from the DWH.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for project team and client deliverables.
Desired Candidate Profile
Total of 5-7 years of experience out of which 4 to 5 years experience in data warehouse projects in Financial Industry
Experience with dataware house projects
Experienced Oracle/PowerCenter/UnixOracle (5 yrs+)
Hands-on experience in Power Center (5 yrs+)
Good understanding of RDBMS/OLAP to perform data extractions, conversions and manipulations in DWH is expected
Experienced in Job Scheduling tools like Control+M with Strong Unix skills
Experience in writing oracle procedures and performance tuning of data warehouse applications using Oracle
Full SDLC experience (requirements to QA)
Strong background in data warehouse technologies (Oracle, Power Center, Extraction tools)
Ability and agility to provide technical problem solving in complex environment.
Willingness and ability to cooperate with other teams (such as Power Center)
Strong communication skills within a multicultural environment
Flexible, proactive and self motivated
Solid understanding of basic financial terms & concepts
Ability to handle stressful situations who is Delivery oriented
Creative problem solver
