Job Description:
Handle incoming calls using good listening and communication skills to secure information necessary to complete a reservation.
Process rooming lists. Complete all changes and cancels for group; prepare group guest lists prior to arrival.
Process daily confirmations and preparation for daily mail-out.
Daily process and research Guaranteed-No-Shows.
Process all travel agent commission checks, cancellations, and commission requests.
Use good selling techniques to up-sell, special target dates when appropriate.
Be knowledgeable of suite and parlor booking process.
Be familiar with MARSHA functions.
Be familiar with Honored Guest, Preference Plus and Marquis procedures if appropriate.
Have knowledge of advance deposits procedures, posting, checks with 14 days of arrival, and correct use of cross reference logs.
Promote an effective alternate booking service with sister hotels by actively making reservations at other local area Marriott’s whenever we are unable to accommodate a reservations request.
Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing.
