Job Description:
The candidate would have to:
- assist with publicity and promotions, including writing copy for fliers, posters and sales information sheets
- help in the organization of book-related events, including releases, readings, exhibitions
- maintain sustained contact with the media, both print and electronic, and be ready to undertake web-related research on niche markets and readers
- assist in updating Tara’s website
- support marketing efforts, including linking up with bookstores, special retail stores and design stores

Desired Candidate Profile:
You need to have:
- a desire to be part of the publishing world
- an interest in books and reading
- an ability to write fluently in English
- a familiarity with standard word-processing and spreadsheet applications
- previous experience in the book industry welcome but not essential
- Chennai-based candidates preferred, for full time or part time work.
