Staff Nurse

Job Description :
1. Follow hospital policies and maintain the core values.
2. Schedule duty for staff and ensure smooth functioning of the unit.
3. Update and maintain the files like duty roster, checklist and equipment service every month.
4. To follow established protocols.
5. Check the cleanliness of the ward and functioning equipment. If any problem arises, take measures to rectify it immediately.
6. Ensure that admission or discharge is not delayed for the patients.
7. Ensure that all the equipment/ cupboards are labeled properly and maintained it.
8. Maintain registers for Autoclaving, ETO sterilization, Replacement, IV cannulation, Billing, Pharmacy refund and Discharge summary.
9. Send the trays and items for autoclaving/ETO sterilization respectively.
10. Ensure Glucometer calibration monthly.
11. If any death occurs fulfill the formalities and inform ICU staff to document in death register.
12. Ensure that disinfection of patient unit and equipment after discharge/death.
13. If any needles stick injury occurs report to the hospital infection control nurse.
14. Ensure that the patient’s needs and requirements are met in time.
15. Prepare the minutes of the unit meeting and circulate.
16. Give awareness classes about hospital acquired infection to new staff and hospital attenders.
17. Explain the purpose of hand wash to the patients and attender.
18. Give hand wash tool to the patients and collect it and give to nursing manager.
19. Provide the diet chart to the canteen daily.
Knowledge:
1. Anatomy and physiology of genito urinary system
2. Ward procedures in nephrology and urology
3. Basic Life Support(BLS) and Code blue training
4. Operation of hospital software
5. Current infection control practices
6. Admission and discharge process
Skill Set :
1. Phlebotomy
2. Phlebotomy in pediatrics
3. Resuscitation
4. Patient care process
5. Observation of patient responds to treatments.
6. Skill to make decision and organize accordingly.

Pharmacist
Experience : At least 2 years experience in retail or hospital pharmacy.
Location : Bangalore
Education : Diploma in Pharmacy with active pharmacist license.
Job Description :
1. Maintain knowledge of all generic names of drugs with their substitute’s brands available in the pharmacy.
2. To adhere protocols of pharmacy includes:
a. following physicians' orders, prescriptions from patients; compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceuticals; Ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the completed prescription and assumption of the responsibility for the filled prescription such as: accuracy of drug, strength, batch, expiry, labeling, proper container and other requirements; Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient.
b. Maintains strong knowledge of hospital policies, government regulations & state board of pharmacy regulations and dispenses accordingly. Comply with all state board of pharmacy rules and licensing requirements.
3. Management of bills payable & receivables; Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
4. Duty to maintain adequate knowledge about dosage and ability as new medications, devices, and technologies become available and as health information advances; communicates with patients in terms that are understandable.
5. Responsibilities include constantly studying and learning about the properties and side effects of new drugs and communicating this information to doctors and patients.
6. Adhere to all HR practices & hospital rules; adjust work assignments and schedules allotted by the Head of department.
7. Responsible & capable to maintain pharmacy in absence of superiors.
Skill Set :
1. Should have knowledge of all generic names of drugs with their substitute brands available in the market & a familiarity with Indian pharmacopeia.
2. Must possess good interpersonal & communication skills. Should have problem Solving abilities to help & guide the patients.
3. Knowledge of computers, pharmacy software & Mathematics to compute dosages and rate of drug use.
4. Demonstrating knowledge of pharmaceutical ordering procedure, pharmaceutical storage & maintenance.
5. Should have sense as if it’s their own pharmacy & maintain accordingly.

Dietician
Experience : 4-6 years experience.
Location : Bangalore
Education : M.SC Food and Nutrition.
Job Description :
1. To provide nutritional counseling to all in patients admitted under department of Nephrology and review the patient’s diet on a daily basis until discharge.
2. To counsel other in patients only on Doctors reference.
3. To provide Nutritional education to out patients as and when referred in the outpatient Department and review in their subsequent outpatient visits if indicated.
Diet review for patients who come to the hospital for weekly maintenance haemodialysis is conducted regularly or as and when indicated by the dialysis staff.
Visit to the patient’s bed side as they are getting dialyzed or a review with the patient’s attenders, to know about the patient’s compliance with the prescribed diet to make suitable changes, takes place.
IN PATIENT FOOD SERVICE SYSTEM
1. Monitoring the kitchen staff (for personal hygiene), cooking area - hygiene practices with the help of check list.
2. Reporting to the kitchen area to supervise mid- morning and lunch food service.
3. Doing sensory evaluation of dietary food before it is dispatched to the patients.
4. Monitoring the patient’s tray setting and accompanying the food service staff during food distribution.
5. Conducting classes for the kitchen staff (once in a month) in order to update and educate the food service policies that need to be stringently followed.
Skill Set :
1. Having good experience in planning diet for various disease and disorders.
2. Ability to carry out nutritional assessment and counseling both inpatient and outpatient in relation to clinical history.
3. Planning RT Feeds, PEG feeds, JJ feeds for various critical care patients in ICU units.
Handling food and beverage departments at the hospital which includes effective food service for patients involving their likes/dislikes and diet requirements according to their particular health conditions.
