Applications are invited by the Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Post graduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry-605006 from candidates fulfilling the following eligibility conditions to work as PATIENT NAVIGATOR IN THE JIPMER COMPREHENSIVE BREAST CARE CENTRE on contract basis at this Institute in spells of 89 days with 1 day break in service between two spells of engagement.

Name of the post : PATIENT NAVIGATOR
Contractual Remuneration: Rs.20,000/- (Consolidated) / month.

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Social Work OR B.Sc. (Nursing) / B.Sc. (Social Work) with at least 2 years experience
Other terms and Conditions:
** The engagement is purely on contract basis only
** The engagement may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Director
** This engagement will not bestow upon the applicant to claim for any regularization / temporary status based on this engagement.
**Maximum age limit should not exceed 30 years
** Women candidates will be preferred.
Desirable:
i) Working knowledge of computers.
ii) Reasonably fluent in Tamil & English

Candidates should be capable of:
1. Connect patients with resources and support systems;
2. Facilitate interaction and communication with health care staff and providers
3. Streamline appointments and paperwork
4. Help patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time
5. Help decrease patients’ fear and anxiety and also support the family
6. Help patients identify and utilize appropriate social services

ii) The interview will be held on 10th September 2014 at 10.00 a.m. onwards in the Department of Surgery.

iii) Interested applicants may send the application form with attested Xerox copies to the Department of Surgery before 05.09.2014.

iv) The applicants are requested to bring original certificates before 09.00 a.m. on 10.09.2014 for the verification of certificates. No individual call letters will be sent or TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
