BSF will hold an All India Examination for direct recruitment of Group-‘C’ posts (Combatised) in BSF Engg Set up (Civil) & NDRF an for the year 2014-15.

Applications are invited from male and female Indian citizens for appointment of following Group ‘C’ posts (Combatised) for Engineering Set up (Civil) and NDRF BNs in the Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The post is temporary but likely to become permanent.

Educational Qualification :
(i) Head Constable (Pioneer) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Mason or Carpenter or Plumber or Electrician or Blacksmith or Welder or Painter or Polisher or Mechanist or three years experience in the respective trade from reputed firm.

(ii) Head Constable (Welder) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Welder or three years experience in the respective trade from reputed firm.

(iii) Head Constable (Plumber) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Plumber or three years experience in the respective trade from reputed firm.

(iv) Head Constable (Carpenter /Mason) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Carpenter or Mason or three years experience in the respective trade from reputed firm.

(v) Head Constable (Fitter/ Blacksmith) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Fitter or Blacksmith or three years experience in the respective trade from reputed firm.

(vi) Constable (Carpenter) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Carpenter or two years experience in the respective trade.

(vii) Constable (Mason) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Mason or two years experience in the respective trade.

(viii) Constable (Plumber) : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Plumber or two years experience in the respective trade.

Age Limit as on Last Date : Between 18-25 years

Physical Standards Test (PST) :
Height:Men-165 Cms.;Women-157 Cms;
Chest:Men- 76-81Cms.;Women-Not Applicable
Weight :
Men-Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards
Women-According to height but not less than 46 Kgs.

Medical Standards :
(i) Eye Sight : The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both the eyes without correction (i.e. without wearing of glasses).
(ii) Should not have knock knees, Flat Foot, Varicose Veins or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. The candidates will be tested for colour vision by Ishahara’s test as well as Edrich- Green Lantern Test. They must be a good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Mode Of Payment : Each application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft/Postal Order for Rs. 50/- (Fifty) as examination fee in favour of the prescribed addressee to whom the application is addressed. However, fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, BSF Candidates & Ex—Servicemen

Fee: Rupees Fifty only (Rs. 50/-) payable through Demand Draft/IPO in the name of the addressee where the application form is being submitted by the candidate. Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, BSF Candidates, Ex- Serviceman.

i) Application Form can be downloaded from the website.

ii) The envelope containing the application must be superscripted in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT 0F GROUP-‘C' POSTS (COMBATANT) IN BSF ENGG SET UP {CIVIL} & NDRF BNs 2014-15".

iii) Application duly filled up in the given format may be sent to any one of the prescribed addresses nearest to the candidate within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in the Employment News and candidates belonging to far flung areas be sent within 45 days from the date of publication of advertisement in the employment news
