Ph.D.Eligibility Test-2014 :
Ph.D. Eligibility Test is one of the eligibility criteria for admission into Ph.D. programmes offered by Osmania University in different subjects in the faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Education, Law, Science, Oriental Languages, Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology and Informatics.

Eligibility Conditions:
To be eligible to appear for Ph.D. Eligibility Test - 2014 being conducted by Osmania University in the subjects pertaining to faculties mentioned above, a candidate must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree from a recognized university or a Post-Graduate degree through distance mode from a recognized university and approved by the concerned authority, in the concerned subject or in an allied subject (see Annexure-II for the list of allied subjects) approved by Osmania University securing not less than 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST candidates). If the results of Post Graduate Degree are declared in the form of Grades/Credits/Cumulative Grade Point Average in their marks cards/transcripts, such Grades/Points shall be converted into percentage of marks to assess the minimum eligibility criteria

Note:
The candidates have to appear in the Ph.D. Eligibility Test in the subject in which they wish to pursue Ph.D. (For eg. a candidate with M.Com. qualification may pursue Ph.D. in Business Management provided he/she appears and qualifies in the Ph.D. Eligibility Test in the subject of Business Management).

However, the following categories of the candidates are exempted from appearing in the Ph.D. Eligibility test.

i. Those who are awarded research fellowship in a national level test namely UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / ICMR / ICAR / DBT-JRF / INSPIRE fellowship and Teacher Fellowship applicants subject to the clearance by the Dean, CDC, Osmania University.
ii. Those who are qualified UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / APSET / JEST Examination.
iii. Those who hold M.Phil. Degree in regular mode from O.U. in the concerned subject or Ph.D. in an allied subject approved by Osmania University

Registration Fee :
The registration fee for online submission of application is Rs.650/- (Rs.450/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates). The procedure for payment of Registration fee is available in the website

Test Pattern :
The eligibility test will be of 90 minutes duration and question paper consists of 100 objective (multiple choice only) type questions

The eligibility test will consist of any 3 or 4 varieties of objective type items such as analogies, classification, matching, comprehension of a research study / experiment / theoretical point of view, etc., with multiple answers besides the usual multiple choice items. The items will be framed only from the syllabus of eligibility test.
Maximum marks for eligibility test: 100 marks
Nature of test: Objective type with multiple choice questions.
Medium of eligibility test: The medium of eligibility test will be English only except for language subjects.

How to apply Online?
Visit the website ouadmissions.com or osmania.ac.in Read the instructions given to the candidate thoroughly. For the detailed procedure to fill online application refer to the user guide.

The procedure for online application is a two step process: (i) Registration/Fee Payment (ii) Filling online application. Test Fee payment can be made at any of the AP Online Centers or using Credit/Debit Card or using Net banking.

(i) APOnline Mode: First the requisite fee is to be paid at the APOnline center by providing details of the candidate such as Name, Gender,Date of Birth, SSC Hall Ticket Number and Month & Year of passing SSC, Mobile Number and Email ID. Once the details of the candidate are registered successfully the candidate receives Registration ID to the Mobile Number and also to email ID provided.Proceed for filling the online application form by visiting the website: http://www.ouadmissions.com or www.osmania.ac.

On the Ph. D. Eligibility Test home page enter the login details i.e Registration ID, MobileNumber and Date of Birth.Click Login for the online application form to appear. Keep a scaned photograph with less than 40 kb size and scanned signature ready before filling the online form. Carefully select the items as applicable to you.

(ii) Debit/ Credit Card Mode:Visit the website ouadmissions.com or osmania.ac.in On the Ph. D. Eligibility Test home page click "New Applicant Register Here". Select the fee payment option as Credit/Debit Card. Enter the candidate details such as Name, Gender,Date of Birth, SSC Hall Ticket Number and Month & Year of passing SSC, Mobile Number and Email ID Click "Register". A Registration Confirmation Page Appears.Check the details displayed. For any changes select Edit otherwise click the "Pay Now" Button.Follow the steps to complete the payment process.

After successfully completing the transaction the details of the candidate are registered successfully and the candidate receives Registration ID to theMobile Number provided and also to email ID. Proceed for filling the online application form by using the Login detials i.e Registration ID, MobileNumber and Date of Birth

Proceed to fill the online application form" if you are ready with the required data such as scanned photograph (size less than 40kb) and scanned signature else the application form can be filled later after acquiring the required data.

(iii) Net Banking: Follow the same procedure given for Credit/Debit mode except select the fee payment option as Net Banking.
