The students whose names are published in the 1st list for admission to 1st year B.A., B.Sc. & B.Com. (Hons. & Genl.) for the session 2014-15 are hereby directed to take admission on and from 30th June 2014 to 2nd July 2014 between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm. Failing to do so, their names in any way will not be considered for admission in the 2nd merit list.
Admission from the 2nd list (if there are vacancies of seats) will be held on and from 4th July to 9th July 2014 between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm (except holidays & Saturdays). The 2nd list will be published on 3rd July 2014 after 11:00 am if seats are available.
General Conditions :
(i) Pass in H. S. (10+2) or equivalent level
(ii) Pass in English having full marks of not being less than 100 in H. S. (10+2) or equivalent level
(iii) Compulsory Environmental Education/ Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks of best four subjects for admission to Honours Course.
Minimum Eligibility for Admission:
English Honours:
For General Students :
(i) 50% marks in aggregate of best four subjects in H. S. (10+2) or equivalent level and 45 % marks in English OR
(ii) 55% marks in English
For SC/ST Students :
(i) 40% marks in aggregate in H.S. (10+2) or equivalent level OR
(ii) 40% marks in English in H.S. (10+2) or equivalent level
Subject combination in English Honours: Any two from Sociology, Education, History and Economics
Bengali Honours:
For General Students :
(i) 50% marks in aggregate of best four subjects in H. S. (10+2) or equivalent level and 45 % marks in Bengali OR
(ii) 55% marks in Bengali
For SC/ST Students :
(i) 40% marks in aggregate in H.S. (10+2) or equivalent level OR
(ii) 40% marks in Bengali in H.S. (10+2) or equivalent level
Subject combination in Bengali Honours: Any two from Sociology, Education, History and Economics
History Honours :
For General Students :
(i) 50% marks in aggregate of best four subjects in H. S. (10+2) or equivalent level and 45 % marks in History OR
(ii) 55% marks in History
For SC/ST Students :
(i) 40% marks in aggregate in H.S. (10+2) or equivalent level OR

How to Apply :
1. Candidates already admitted in a college under Calcutta University this year are required to submit transfer/ cancellation certificate in the time of admission.
2. Candidates admitted in previous year and already registered their names in the Calcutta University are required to submit attested photocopy of the registration certificate at the time of admission.
