D.El.ED Admission :
In continuation of our Second Notification for distribution and receiving of forms for admission to Two Year D. El. Ed. Course, published on 10-08-2013 and in view of the fact that the entire admission process for the said course remained stalled because of the intervening panchayet-poll-process in West Bengal, and also, of the fact that affiliations in some cases are pending till now, the entire process of admission to First Year D El Ed Course is being rescheduled for this year only in the following manner, because there is no centralised counselling process in West Bengal.
1. The Institutions should prepare merit lists as per the prescribed rules and submit the same to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education for approval on or before: 24-09-2013
2. Last Date of handing over the Approved Merit list to the Institutions: 26-09-2013
3. Last Date of Admission to the Institutions & date of commencement of Classes : 30-09-2013
The Institutions which have already completed the process in terms of the first notice for such admission need not stop their proceedings in accordance with the academic calendar as per the NCTE-norms.
But, the Institutions which are unable to complete the process for the aforesaid reasons, are requested to reschedule the academic process and follow the academic calendar to be prepared by the Board accordingly without overriding the NCTE-norms and standards in this regard: “There shall be at least two hundred working days each year exclusive of the period of examination and admission, out of which at least forty days shall be for practice teaching/ skill development in nearby primary schools.................”
