Dr. H.S. Gour University invites applications for admission to M.Phil. programme, Ph.D. Programme through entrance test;

1.Name of the Programme : M.Phil. Programme

Duration of Course : Two Semesters
Age Limit :-Maximum age upto 28 years as on 01/07/2013
Eligibility : Candidates who have secured above 55% marks (without rounding off) / 6.0 CGPA in (0-9) ten point scale, for General and OBC (NCL), in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from Universities / Institutes recognized by UGC are eligible to appear in the Entrance Test. Schedules Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST) /Physically Challenged category students who have secured 50% marks (without rounding off)/ 5.0 CGPA in (0-9) ten point grade scale in the Master’s degree or equivalent are eligible to appear in the test.

2.Name of the Programme : Ph.D. Programme
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 01/07/2013
Duration of the Programme: A research scholar registered to the programme will have to pass Two Semesters course work followed by two years research work.
Minimum Qualification: Candidates who have secured at above 55% marks (without rounding off) / 6.0 CGPA in ten point scale (0-9) for General and OBC (NCL) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from Universities / Institutes recognized by UGC are eligible to appear in the Entrance Test. Schedules Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Physically Challenged (PC) category students who have secured 50% marks (without rounding off) / 5.0 CGPA in ten point scale (0- 9) in the Master’s degree or equivalent are eligible to appear in the test.
Admission to Ph.D. course : The admission to Ph.D. Course would be given by the following methods;
(a) Direct admission through interview
(b) Admission through Entrance Test followed by interview

Entrance Test Fee :
General category : Rs. 900 /-
OBC / NCL category : Rs. 450 /-
SC / ST / PH / VH : Rs. 225 /-

Admit Card : The candidate has to download his ADMIT CARD On-line. Admit Card shall not be sent by post.

How to Apply :
i) Application for M.Phil./Ph.D. Entrance Test –2013 can be submitted On-line on dhsgsu.ac.in Webaite.

ii) The candidate should print/download the application form for M.Phil./Ph.D. 2013 and send the hard copy to the

iii) The following should also be enclosed with the form;
