Post Graduation Entrance Examination (PGEE) 2013-2014
University of Mysore established in the year 1916, is an Institute of Excellence, accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. As part of the ongoing quality improvement programs for imparting quality education, the university has introduced the entrance examination for admission to all PG programmes offered by the university in its campus, other PG centers and affiliated colleges from 2013-14.
Entrance examination is a mandatory requirement for admission to all PG programmes offered by the University at Manasagangotri, PG Centers at Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar and other affiliated colleges except autonomous colleges. Foreign nationals with foreign degree are exempted from the entrance examination. Candidates may download the Application form from the University of Mysore website: http://www.uni-mysore.ac.in and submit the same along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) as application fee in favour of “The Finance Officer, University of Mysore, Mysore” payable at Mysore.
The completed application form along with DD will have to be sent/submitted to The Coordinator, PGEEC, Pareeksha Bhavan, Behind Crawford Hall, University of Mysore, Mysore-05 so as to reach on or before 01-07-2013 latest by 5.00 pm. Please note that DD and Application shall not be sent to the Finance Officer. Candidates willing to apply for more than one course shall submit separate application along with separate DD.
Eligibility :
Candidates with bachelor’s degree and those candidates appearing for the final semester examinations of bachelor’s degree in the current academic year are also eligible.
Instructions to Candidates :
1. Application received after the Due Date will not be entertained.
2. Application with incomplete or incorrect information is liable for rejection.
3. The admission tickets of the entrance examination may be collected in person from the Coordinator’s office on or before 15-07-2013.
4. The entrance examination will be conducted from 17-07-2013 to 23-07-2013.
5. The entrance examination time table will be announced after the last date of submission of application.
6. The entrance examination shall be of one hour duration for a maximum of 50 marks of multiple choice questions. No negative marking.
7. The syllabus and model question paper for the entrance examination may be downloaded from the university website.
8. The key answers will be posted on the website as and when the examination/s is/are over and objections will be received until 24-07-2013.
9. The final key answers will be announced on 25-07-2013.
10. The result of the entrance examination will be announced on 31-07-2013 in the university website.
11. There shall be no provision for revaluation in respect of Entrance Examination.
12. Fee paid for entrance examination is not refundable.
