Applications in prescribed form are invited for admission to the following courses of study in Assam University, Silchar H. Q. & Diphu Campus for the academic session commencing in July 2012.

SILCHAR CAMPUS (H.Q.)
1. 4-Semester Post Graduate courses :
a) Master of Arts : Arabic, Bengali, English, Hindi, Manipuri, Linguistics, Sanskrit, Economics, History, Political science, Sociology, Philosophy, Education and French.
b) Master of Science : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, life Science & Bioinformatics, Bio- Technology, Ecology and Environmental science, Earth Sciences and Microbiology.
c) Master of Mass Communication.
d) Master of Commerce.
e) Master of Library and Information Science.

2. 10-Semester integrated courses :
a) Master of Computer Science.
b) Master of Social Work.
c) BA LLB (Honours) and (d) 4 Semester LLM Course

3. 8-Semester UG+ 4-Semester PG course :
Bachelor of Visual Arts + Master of Visual Arts.

4. 8-Semester B. Sc. B. Ed. Course
Subject to final approval from the Regional Office of NCTE, Bhubaneswar

ii) Agricultural Engineering and
iii) Electronics & Telecommunication. The admission in B. Tech courses will be done through AIEEE Central Counseling.

2-Semester PG diploma in Entrepreneurship and innovation.

Fee :
Candidates may collect Prospectus along with Application Form for the course(s) on payment of Rs.600.00 (for General and OBC students) and Rs.500.00 (for SC/ST students) from the Assam University cash counter, SBI Dorgakona Branch and office of Diphu Campus, AUS, on all working days up to 2 pm.

How to Apply :
i) The form may also be downloaded from University website and submitted along with an application fee of 600.00 (for General and OBC students) and 500.00 (for SC/ST students) through D.D./ Banker Cheque in favour of Finance Officer, Assam University Silchar payable at Silchar. The candidates who have appeared in TDC Part III examination 2012 of Assam University or any other recognized university may also apply for admission to PG Courses.

ii) Candidates in person may submit their duly filled in application form in drop box placed at the Raja Rammohan Roy Administrative Building Room No. – 4, Assam University, Silchar and at the Administrative Office of Diphu Campus upto 15th June 2012.

iii) Applicants may send their applications by post, addressed to

** Date of publication of list of eligible candidates for written test : 5th July 2012.
** Issue of Admit Card to the candidates : 6th July to 8th July 2012 (up to 11 AM)
** Admission test date : 8th July 2012.
** Personal Interview : 9th July 2012.
** Display of list of provisionally selected candidates : 13th July 2012.
** Date of admission : 13th July 2012 to 17th July 2012.
** Display of provisionally selected candidates from wait list : 18th July 2012. (Admission to be taken within 3 days)
