"Engagement of Staff Consultants in the Engineering Wing of CERC"

1. Name of the post : Research Officer (Engg.)
No. of post : 02
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 55,000/- to 80,000/- per month depending on qualification and experience.
Qualification : Graduate/ Diploma Holders in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience : Having post qualification experience of more than ten years (more than 15 years for Diploma holders) in the field of power sector in hydro or thermal or transmission or power system planning and load flow studies, should be fully conversant in the power plants and its auxiliaries or the transmission system.
Desirable :
i) Should have experience of tariff determination in the Regulatory Sector or operation & maintenance of Power Sector and power system load flow studies preferably related to point of connection charges & losses.
ii) The person retired from the Central Government service/CPSUs/State PSUs in the relevant field would be given preference.
iii) Finance qualification would be an added advantage.

2. Name of the post : Research Associate (Engg.)
No. of post : 03
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 40,000 to 55,000 per month depending on qualification and experience.
Qualification : Graduate/ Diploma Holders in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience : Having post qualification experience of zero to less than ten years (zero to less than 15 years for Diploma holders) in the field of power sector in hydro or thermal or transmission or power system planning and load flow studies, should be fully conversant in the power plants and its auxiliaries or the transmission system.
Desirable :
i) Should have experience of tariff determination in the Regulatory Sector or operation & maintenance of Power Sector and power system load flow studies preferably related to point of connection charges & losses.
ii) The person retired from the Central Government service/CPSUs/State PSUs in the relevant field would be given preference.
iii) Finance qualification would be an added advantage.

Duration of contract :- The contract will be for a period of one year which can be extended for one more year at the discretion of the competent authority, depending on the performance of the Consultant and on the functional needs of CERC.
