RESEARCH ENTRANCE TEST (R.E.T)- 2012

Faculty : Agriculture
Main disciplines : Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Statistics, Agricultural Engineering (Soil and Water Conservation Engineering), Agronomy, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Entomology & Agricultural Zoology, Extension Education, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Mycology & Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology, Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering (Post Harvest & Bio Process Engineering), Food Science & Technology.

IMPORTANT : NET (JRF), NET (LS) and GATE qualified candidates shall be eligible for direct admission (besides other categories of candidates listed at Section H of this information bulletin) without appearing in RET. However, if candidates belonging to NET (LS)/ GATE wish to be considered for BHU research fellowship, they will have to appear in RET and be admitted/ short-listed as RET candidate (except for faculty of Engineering and Technology where existing fellowship norms shall apply).

Procedure for On-line Submission of form :
Step 1.Click the New Registration link given in next page and proceed as per instructions. A Registration-id ,will be generated as soon as the registration form is submitted .Please notedown this Registration-id for future reference
Step 2.Use this Registration-id to Upload your Photograph and Signature image
Step 3.Fill up the Final Form
Step 4.Deposit the entrance test fee online and then take the printout of the final form

The following must be ready before proceeding further
Credit/Debit card or Internet Banking details
Scanned Photograph and Signature images in .jpg format(The size of Photograph size (3.5cm x 4.5 cm in jpg format) with pixcel size height less than 350 px and width less than 300px and Signature size (2.5cm X 3.5cm in jpg format)with pixcel size height less than 250 px and width less than 350px.The file size of Photograph and Signature must be less than 15 KB ).

Note : RET-exempt category candidates will not be required to appear in the written test. Forms of all RET-exempt category candidates will be separately sent to the concerned department/school/centre for Counseling (Subjective Test/Interview) of the selection process.

i.Counseling (subjective test/ personal interview) in the Main Discipline Department: 30th July 2012
ii.Counseling (subjective test/ personal interview) in the Allied Discipline Department: 31st July 2012

7.No separate call letter shall be issued for counseling/ admissions. All R.E.T.-Exempted applicants who have submitted the application forms, along with prescribed enclosures, shall report for counseling as per the above schedule.

8.The Admissions shall be made strictly in order of merit which will be based on the academic record/subjective test/interview/any other criteria as per the decision of concerned Faculty/ Department/Centre.

9.The admission/ counseling process may take 2-3 days. The candidates/ applicants shall come prepared for the same.
