The Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi has first identified Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh for implementation of the National Mental Health Programme with the Manpower Development Component Scheme. Essential qualifications & experience : MD (Psychiatry) from Recognised University/Institution with 10 years experience in the profession after acquiring Postgraduate qualification out of which 3 years should be as Reader/Associate Professor from a Recognised Medical College/Teaching Intuition.

Essential qualifications & experience : MD (Psychiatry) from Recognised University/Institution with 04 years experience as Assistant Professor/Sr. Lecturer from a Recognised Medical College/Teaching Intuition.
