Applications are invited from eligible candidates having requisite qualifications & experiences in the prescribed format for the following posts under different category for State Institute of Hotel Management, Balangir.

1. Name of the post : Principal

Scale of Pay : Rs.37,400-67,000 + G.P. 8,700/- (PB-4)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 52 years. (As on 1st July’2012)
Essential Qualification :
i) Graduate from a recognized University.
ii) Degree/ 3 year Diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management/State Board of Technical Education/Recognized University. The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management. For graduates in Hotel Management, item No (i) is not necessary.
Experience :
At least 3 years experience in Hotel related subject(s) as Head of Department in an Institute of Hotel Management affiliated to NCHMCT.OR at least 20years experience in teaching and/or Hotel industry including minimum 3years in Hotel operation related subject(s) as Head of Department in a Institute of Hotel Management affiliated to state Board of Technical Education/Recognized University OR at least 20 years of experience in teaching and/or Hotel Industry including 3 years as Principal in a Food Craft institute affiliated to NCHMCT OR Minimum 20 years of hotel Industry experience including minimum 5 years in Managerial capacity in Four star/Heritage or above category approved Hotel.
Hotel Operation Subjects are Food Production, Food & Beverage service, Accommodation Operation/ Housekeeping and Front office.
Desirable :
Teachers Training Diploma, Knowledge of one or more foreign language. Experience in Administration and Financial Management, Computer Literacy. Post Graduate Degree/Post Diploma in Hotel Management /Administration.

2.Name of the post : Assistant Lecturer-cum- Assistant Instructor
i) Direct Recruitment :

Scale of Pay : Rs. 9,300-34,800 + G.P. 4,200/- (P.B-2)
ii) Contractual : No. of post : 03 posts
Scale of Pay : Rs.18,000.00 (Consolidated)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years. (As on 1st July’2012)
Essential Qualification : Degree/3 year diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management/State Board of Technical Education/Recognized University with minimum 60% aggregate marks in Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management. Experience: A minimum of 3 years practical experience in hotel and catering Industry OR At least 2 years of teaching experience in an Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel management and Catering Technology/State Board of Technical Education/RecognizedUniversity.
Desirable : Certificate in successful completion of Certified Hospitality Trainer Course of National Council for hotel Management & Catering Technology, Knowledge of Computers. Proficiency in Food Production/ Bakery.
