ADMISSION TO PART TIME POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES – 2012

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into Part Time Post Graduate Programmes offered by JNTUK, Kakinada for the academic year 2012-13 as detailed below:

2. M.Tech.( Electrical & Electronics Engineering) Advanced Power System with Emphasis on High Voltage Engineering JNTU UCE, Kakinada. 30*

B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in Electrical & Electronics Engg. (or) Equivalent / Electrical Engg.

3. M.Tech.(Computer Science) Computer Science JNTU UCE, Kakinada. 30*

B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in any branch of Engg. / Tech. (or) equivalent Master’s Degree in Physics, Statistics, Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Applied Physics, Geophysics, M.Sc.(Comp. Sc.), M.Sc.(information Systems), (Computer Applications and Electronics) and MCA , M Sc (Electronics) (or) Equivalent

Note : (1) * Minimum Number of candidates for starting a programme is 50% of sanctioned strength.
(2) The candidates should have their working place within a radius of 50 KM (approx) from Kakinada.
(3) Normally the instruction period timings are from 5.30 pm to 9.00 pm.
(4) Separate application must be submitted for each discipline.
(5) Candidates must fill in the branch and specialization name at appropriate places.
(6) Candidates for these programmes will not be paid any scholarships.
(7) All programmes are of 6 Semester’s duration.

** EMPLOYMENT :
For the above programmes, candidates must be employed on regular service basis in and around Kakinada and have an experience of atleast one (1) year by 31st March, 2012 after acquiring the prescribed qualification are only eligible to apply.

** RESERVATIONS :
Admission will be made with reservations for SC/ST/BC/DISABLED as per rules. 33 1/3% of seats are reserved for women.

** ENTRANCE EXAMINATION :
Admission will be based on merit from among those qualifying in the Entrance Test to be conducted by JNTU Kakinada. The date of entrance test will be placed in the JNTUK website (www.jntuk.edu.in). No individual communication will be sent to the Candidates in this regard. Candidates securing equal marks in the Entrance Test will be bracketed for the purpose of award of ranking and at the time of admission, age will be taken into consideration, older candidate being given priority. The Entrance Test is of one hour duration and consists of objective type of questions.

** DETAILS OF FEES :
a. Registration fee of Rs.1000/- to be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft payable to “The Registrar JNTUK Kakinada “payble at Kakinada, at the time of submitting the application.
b. Tuition fee is Rs.20,000/- per semester.

** APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE FOLLOWING :
i) Bank Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- (separate application for each course applied);
ii) Attested copy of degree, date of birth, service and salary certificates;
iii) Employment and “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from the employer in the prescribed proforma.
iv) Integrated permanent Community Certificate in case of SC/ST/BC in the prescribed proforma; one from the Revenue Officer and another from the Head of the Institution last studied or from service records and Medical Certificate from District Medical Board for PH candidates.
v) Three self addressed envelopes of 25x10 cms. Size duly stamped (affixing Rs.10.00 stamps).

** The applications duly filled in and complete in all respects together with necessary documents including Demand Draft
should reach the “DIRECTOR, ADMISSIONS, JNTUK, KAKINADA - 533003 on or before 26.03.2012, 4 pm. Applications received after the due date and incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

** Registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
** The University reserves the right to make alterations in the intake and rules for admission.
** Appearance at the Entrance Examination does not automatically entitle one for admission.
** If it is detected that a candidate has been admitted due to any mistake made inadvertently in the processing of applications and during the admission stage, the University reserves the right to cancel the seat at any stage.

** Admission will be closed within one month of the commencement of the first semester class work irrespective of the vacancies.
** If any dispute concerning admissions in the courses of JNTUK arises, the jurisdiction shall remain with the Courts in Kakinada only and the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
** The University will not be responsible for postal delay/loss in transit.
** Hall Tickets will not be posted to the candidates. It is the responsibility of the candidates to collect the Hall Tickets from the Office of the Director, Admissions, JNTUK, Kakinada without which he/she will not be allowed for the Entrance Examination.
