Advertisement for Admission to Master of Technology [M.Tech][Sponsored and Self Financed] for the session 2012-13

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the M.Tech programme [Sponsored and Self Financed only] for the academic session 2012-13. Applicants are required to note the name of the Department, Specialization and Specilisation Code as mentioned against each programme below, that will be required at the time of filling ONLINE APPLICATION FORM.

Admission under Self Financed category will not be available in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. However, in other departments admission under Self Financed category will be possible only if seats remain vacant after admission of GATE qualified candidates.

Eligibility :
i) The candidates should have B.E. /B.Tech /M.Sc. or equivalent degree in the discipline as mentioned above with not less than 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in the qualifying examination. There is no relaxation in academic requirement for any category / caste of candidates.
ii) The candidates appearing B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. (final semester) examination may also apply for the above programmes. However, they have to produce their mark/grade sheet showing 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 in aggregate latest by 30th September 2012, failing which their admission will stand cancelled. Such students, at the time of counseling and admission, must produce a certificate signed by the Principal or Registrar of the College last attended stating that all examinations including practicals necessary for award of the degree have been completed in order to be eligible for admission in the prescribed format given in the Annexure-I.
iii) Admission will be given to the candidates on the basis of marks secured in qualifying degree and a written and /or oral examination to be conducted by the concerned department.

Financial support :
Meritorious M.Tech students without GATE/NET score (Except Sponsored) may be considered for award of fellowship under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II).

Applicants are required to submit online application at http://application.nitrkl.ac.in following the instructions. Applicants are advised to(a) use Internet Explorer browser version 6.0 or above, (b) read the advertisement carefully, (c) read the instructions to fill up the online application form (d) fill up and submit the online application form accordingly and (e) take the print out of the online application submitted with setting Paper size : A4, and margins as Left : 0.165, Right : 0.165, Top : 0.16 and Bottom : 0.165 inches.
