Recruitment against Sports Quota

Applications are invited from the eligible and outstanding sportspersons in the prescribed format (given here under) for filling up of 04 (Four) vacancies in Headquarter, East Central Railway, Hajipur and 02 (Two) vacancies in each of 04 (four) Divisions viz. Danapur, Mughalsarai, Samastipur & Sonpur in Group ‘D’ category in Pay Band-1 having Pay in Scale Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2011-12. However, the Railway Administration reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies.

Age Limit : The age limit will be 18-25 years.

Minimum Educational Qualification : 10th Pass or ITI Pass or its equivalent qualification recognized by Railway Administration.

Examination fees :
The examination fees for recruitment against Sports Quota will be Rs. 40/- . Date of issue of IPO/Bank Draft should not be before the date of issue of this Employment Notice.
(i) All Female Candidates, SC / ST and Minority (Muslims,Christians, Sikhs Buddhists, Zorastrians {Parsis}) are fully exempted from examination fees.
(ii) Economically backward class candidates means whose family income is less than Rs. 50,000 per annum. They have to produce income certificate on letter head in the prescribed format as shown in annexure- ‘A’ )
Postal order/Bank Draft should be in favour of ‘FA & CAO, East Central Railway, Hajipur’ payable at Hajipur. Examination fee will not be refundable in any case.

How to apply :
(i) The given format should be neatly typed or hand written either in English or Hindi on a A-4 size paper should be filled in own hand writing and one passport size photograph should be pasted at the specific space on the application form duly signed on the top by the candidate.
(ii) Two similar passport size photographs (same as affixed in the application form duly signed on the top) should be clipped along with the Application Form.
(iii) All the copies of certificates in support of age, caste, educational qualification, sports achievements & other qualifications should be attested either by a Gazetted officer or self and should be enclosed along with the Application Form.
(iv) All applications must be accompanied with Bank Draft or IPO amounting to Rs. 40/- payable in favour of FA & CAO, East Central Railway, Hajipur, which will not be refundable in any case. All Female Candidates, SC / ST and Minority (Muslims,Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zorastrians {Parsis}) & Economically Backward candidates, whose income is less than Rs. 50,000 per annum are fully exempted from this payment.
(v) In case of serving employee “No Objection Certificate” from the employer should be attached.
(vi) More than one application in one envelope will be summarily rejected.
(vii) Only those candidates who fulfill the prescribed norms, should apply.

Application should be sent to above mentioned address by ordinary post only so that it may reach above address on or before 29.02.2012 or to be dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in above offices up to 18.00 Hrs. on or before 29.02.2012 No receipt at the counter will be given. All applications should be in covered and pasted envelope.

All the candidates should indicate clearly “Application against Sports Quota”, ECR/HRD/Rectt/Sports Quota (Open Advt)/Gr. ‘D’/2/2011-12 & Sports Discipline alongwith recruitment Unit on the top of the envelope.
