Applications in prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs are invited from eligible male and female candidates to fill up 18 posts of CONSTABLES

Pay Band : Rs.5200-20200 plus grade pay of Rs.2400 and other allowances

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : Minimum class XII passed with Physics, Chemistry, Maths from recognized board.

AGE : Not less than 18years and not more than 22 years on 1st May, 2012.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
(a)Height - 5’3” minimum for male, -5’ min. for female
(b)Chest: -32” min. with min. 2” expansion for male.
(c)Weight -50 Kgs. min. for male, -45 Kgs. min. for female

PRESCRIBED APPLICATION FORMS can be obtained from the office of the Inspector General of Police, Communications & Computers, Police Headquarters, Gangtok on working days till 4.00PM of 5th June,2012 on production of Bank (SBS) Receipt for Rs. 50/- under revenue head 0055-Police- 800 other receipts. The candidate must fill in application form with his/her own handwriting.

LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION : 5th June, 2012 before close of office at 1600 hrs.

SELECTION : The candidates are selected through the process of-
(a) Physical Measurement,
(b) Written Examination on Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and General Knowledge.
(c) Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test (PET).
(d) Viva-voce.

Written Examination will be held on 9th June, 2012 at Tashi Namgyal Academy.
