Applications are invited in the prescribed Form from the bona-fide citizens of India for selection of candidates for the below mentioned posts under the Government of Tripura;

Name of the post : Principal,
Institute of Advanced Studies in Education(IASE)/College of Teachers Education, Group-A Gazetted under the Education(Higher) Department, Government of Tripura

Pay Band : Rs.37,400- 67,000/- with AGP of Rs.10,000/- plus Special allowance of Rs. 2,000/- per month.
Age : Age up-to 50 years as on 30.06.2012
Educational Qualification :
ESSENTIAL :
A)(i) A Master’s Degree in Science/ Humanities/ Arts with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
(ii) M.Ed. with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and
(iii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC/Any such affiliating body/State Government from time to time (i.e upto 30.06.2012) for the positions of Principal and Lecturers, shall be mandatory.
OR
(i) M.A. in Education with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
(ii) B.Ed. with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
(iii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC/Any such affiliating body/State Government from time to time (i.e upto 30.06.2012) for the positions of Principal and Lecturers, shall be mandatory.
B) Ph.D. in Education and
C) 10 (ten) years teaching experience out of which at least 05(five) years Teaching experience in a secondary teacher educational institution.

Educational Qualification :
Essential :
(i) M.Sc Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized university or equivalent or Degree/Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad, Bihar
(ii) About 3(three) years field experience in Geological Mapping and Minerals prospecting of economic strategic and rare minerals (Qualifications relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified).
Desirable :
i) Training in different aspects of prospecting for minerals and utilization of minerals.
ii) Knowledge of development and working of mineral industry.
Age : Upper age limit 40 years as on 30.06.2012.

Age : 21 years to 35 years as on first January of the year in which selection is made.
Educational Qualification : Graduate of Recognized University. For ST/SC the minimum educational qualification will be H.S passed or equivalent.
Physical fitness :
(i) Height : 167.64 cms. Relaxable upto 162.56 cms for ST candidates
(ii) Chest : 78.74 cms. (un-expanded) & 83.82 cms. (expanded) for those with height of 167.64 cms. and above 76.2 cms. (un-expanded) and 81.22 cms. (expanded) for those whose height is less than 167.64 cms.
Desirable : N.C.C/Military Trained.

Rate of Recruitment Fees :
i)Group- A Posts : Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred) only for General Candidates.
ii)Group- C Posts : Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred ) only for General Candidates.

How to Apply :
Prescribed Form availability :
i) The 4(four) pages Application Form printed in colour font will be available from all Branches/Extension counters of Tripura Gramin Bank in the State of Tripura on deposit of the prescribed Recruitment Fee through the Special Deposit Slip to the Account No. 14711 in favour of the Secretary, T.P.S.C. in the same Branch/Extension counter as a single window system without any extra charge/Commission from the candidates.

ii) In addition, the said prescribed Form printed in colour font (A4 size 90 GSM paper) can also be down loaded from the Website and in that case, the prescribed Recruitment Fee is to be paid to the Account No.31176521319 of the State Bank of India (core banking branches) in favour of the Secretary, Tripura Public Service Commission. The Bank deposit Receipt is to be affixed with the filled up application form in the specified Box on the 2nd page of the form

iii) Application in the prescribed form duly filled in by the candidate and 2(two) copies of recent stamp size photographs of the candidate affixed on the Application and Admit Card along with the copies of self attested certificates, self addressed envelope bearing postage stamp of Rs. 5/= (rupees five) is to be submitted to the Reception Counter of the TPSC Secretariat by 5.00 P.M. of the closing date (30.06.2012).
