Applications are invited from qualified candidates for selection as Range Forest Officer to fill the vacancies earmarked to the Direct Recruitment from among candidates who possess a Degree in Science or Engineering. The selected candidates shall be required to undergo 18 months Forest Rangers Course during 2011-2012 in any one of the State Forest Service Colleges under the Directorate of Forest Education, Government of India, Dehradun and one year practical training in the department. The selection will subject to the decisions of the Director, Forest Education, Ministry of Environment and Forests Government of India in regard to the conduct of the Course.

Age : 19-28 :- Only candidates born between 2-1-1983 and 1-1- 1992 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post.

Educational Qualifications :
Candidates must possess a Degree in Science or Engineering from a University, Institution or Deemed University recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala with at least one of the following subject :
- Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/Computer science, Engineering (Agriculture/Chemical/Civil/Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology.

Method of Submitting Applications :-
Applications with a latest photo uploaded, shall be submitted On-line only photo should be the one taken within 6 months. Candidates name and date of photograph taken should be printed below the photo. Detailed instructions regarding the submission of applications are available in the Website of the Kerala Public Service Commission viz. Www.keralapsc.org. No application fee is required. The barcode number in the application form shall be quoted in all further enquiries/ correspondences. The admission ticket for the Physical efficiency test, Written test and Interview may be downloaded from the website using the bar code number. The documents to prove qualification, age and community have to be produced as and when called for. Applications which are not submitted in accordance with the instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected.
