RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA (TALENT SCOUTING) FOR THE YEAR 2011 – 2012

Applications are invited in the prescribed format from Indian Citizens, for recruitment in posts having Pay Band-2 of Rs.9,300-34,800 & Pay Band-1 of Rs.5,200 – 20,200 in Southern Railway, against Sports Quota through Talent Scouting for the year 2011 – 2012.

No. of posts : 30

Sportspersons must possess the minimum educational qualification, as applicable to the post to which the sportsperson is to be appointed.
In case of Sportsperson having outstanding sports achievements, but does not possess the minimum educational qualification, relaxation in minimum educational qualification may be granted with the approval of Railway Board, subject to acquiring the minimum educational qualification within a period of 4 years from the date of appointment.

However, for considering the case of relaxation in educational qualification, the sportsperson must have the minimum educational qualification required for recruitment in Railways.

The minimum educational qualification required for recruitment in the Railways :
(i) For posts with Grade Pay Rs.1800/1900/2000 : 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.
(ii) For posts with Grade Pay Rs.2400/2800/4200: Graduate.

AGE LIMIT : 18 to 25 years on the ‘Date of the Trials’.

HOW TO APPLY :
1. Application in the prescribed format, complete in all respects along with all the enclosures should be sent to the following address, in a cover, duly superscribing, “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA (TALENT SCOUTING) FOR THE YEAR 2011-2012”.

2. Applications sent by Courier will not be acknowledged. However, the agencies can drop the applications in the box kept in the office premises.

INVALID APPLICATIONS : Candidates must ensure that their application is complete in all respects. Applications which suffer from the following deficiencies will be summarily rejected.
Applications without photograph, unsigned applications.
Date of Birth column not filled or wrongly filled.
Applications without Left hand Thumb Impression.
Smudged / illegible Left hand Thumb Impression.
Applications without proof of Date of birth, Community, Educational qualification, Sports achievements & other qualification etc.

Beware of Job-racketeers trying to deceive the candidates by false promises of Securing job in Railways either through influence or by use of unfair and unethical means. Southern Railway has not appointed any agents or training agencies. All recruitment by Southern Railways are purely MERIT BASED.
