Closing Date and Time for residents of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands and candidates residing abroad : 26.11.2011 at 17.00 Hrs.

Applications are invited from eligible sports persons for following sports event/category for Pay Band 5200-20200 Grade Pay 1800 (erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts ) on Ajmer Workshop North Western Railway :

Educational Qualification : Minimum SSC / Matriculate
Sports Achievements :
a. Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior Category)/ Asian Championship /Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior Category)/ USIC (World Railways) Championship (Senior Category) OR
b. At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) OR
c. Represented a State of equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR
d. At least 3rd Position in Senior State Championships for all Units and Districts of the Stat

Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2012.

Examination Fee : Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of Rs 40/-.

Last date of receipt of application is 11/11/2011 up to 17 Hrs. After this, no application will be accepted. Railway will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss. Applications as per format given should be addressed to

The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the Chief workshop Manager's Office, North Western Railway, Ajmer up to 17.00 Hrs. on 11/11/2011. No receipt will be given at any counter. Applications sent by Registered Post/Courier/By Registered AD will not be accepted. Any deficiency/discrepancy found in the application and papers submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2011-12” should be super scribed.
