South East Central Railway invites applications for recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota

Applications are invited from the eligible and meritorious Scouts & Guides candidates in the prescribed format (attached herewith) for filling up the 02(Two) posts in Group ‘C’ categories (UR) against Scouts & Guides quota over South East Central Railway.

Scale of pay:
Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-(RSRP)/Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- (RSRP).

Educational Qualifications:
Minimum Matriculation or equivalent with 50% in aggregate or higher qualification.
Age limit : 18 to 30 years as on 01-01-2010
(There is no age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Scouting/Guiding qualifications:
1. A President/Rastrapati’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge holder OR A Pre-HWB trained scout leader/ advanced trained Guide leader/Captain.
2. Should have been active member of Scout Organization at least three years in the recent past and continue to be active.
3. Should have been attended at least one event at National Level and/ or two events at State Level or should have good record of participation in Scouts/Guides activities at Unit/District Level.

How to apply:
1. Candidates should apply in the enclosed format. The application should be filled in own hand writing and one passport size photo should be pasted in the specified space on the application form, duly signed on the top by the candidate and attested by the gazetted officer.
2. Two passport size photographs (same as fixed in the application form) duly signed on the top) should be clipped along with the application form.
3. All the copies of certificates in support of age, caste, educational qualification, scouting qualification, other qualification should be attested by a Gazetted Officer and should be enclosed along with the application form.
4. Copies of participation certificates should be countersigned by DC/S&G and membership certificate for the last three years in the recent past and continuation certificate as active member should be signed by the State/District Commissioner (Scouts) for scouts wing and State/District Commissioner (Guides) for guides wing and should be enclosed along with theapplication form.
5. For UR & OBC candidates, applications should accompany with Bank Draft or IPO amounting to Rs.40/- (Rupees Forty only) drawn in favour of FA&CAO/South EastCentral Railway payable at Bilaspur as examination fees. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities are exempted for paying the fees.
6. Two self-addressed envelopes (size 23 cms x 10 cms.) should be attached with the application. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST community one of the envelope should be without stamp and one envelop postage stamp valued Rs.5/- to be affixed. In case of serving employees should submit their applications though proper channel as per extant rules.
7. More than one application in one envelope will be summarily rejected.

Application procedure:
Applications should be addressed and sent by Ordinary post/Registered/Speed Post to “The Dy Chief Personnel Officer (Rectt), Railway Recruitment Cell, GM’s office Annexe Building, South EastCentral Railway , Bilaspur 495004, Chhattisgarh” or should be dropped in the box provided at the Railway Recruitment Cell/HQ/Bilaspur before closing date (up to 18.00 hours of 23.11.2009). All the applications should be closed in envelope super-scribing on the top, the Employment notice No. P/SECR/S&G/Rectt./2009-10/ Recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota over South EastCentral Railway. Application received after 18.00 hrs of 23.11.2009 will not be entertained.
