[Query] Break in study. Now, continue study or goto job?

i m 2005 hs passout.then i got three years full time training from rifle factory ishapore.the course is NCVT.thn i took admission in BTECH in 2008.so my question is those three years that i hv spent in completing my training as fitter trade,is it be considered as break in study or not at the time of campussing as per the eligiblity criteria of software company..nd also my DOB is 1st jan 1987..i will passout in 2012

i m 2002 tenth passout(87% west bengal board).
And 2005 HSC passout(73% west bengal board).
Due to medical condition i couldnt attend in 2004.
So i was nervous then.

I gave a exam conducted by ordnance factory board india and succeded.
Then i completed three years full time training from rifle factory ishapore as apprentice. The course is NCVT.
I have certificate and 3 yr experience but it is in mechanical field.

After completion of that course i took admission in BTECH in 2008.
So my question is those three years that i have spent in completing my training as fitter trade, is it be considered as break in study or not at the time of campussing as per the eligibility criteria of software company..
If yes, then how much years will it be? 1 year or 4 year?

Also my DOB is 1st jan 1987.
I will pass out in 2012.
I m from a college which is TCS grade A college.
So there will be a good opportunity.
So i have to decide whether to continue study or join the job in the factory...
