Instructions to the Candidates for filling Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Form
i) For recruitment to the posts mentioned under Sl. Nos. 1, 2, 3 & 4, candidates can also apply Online using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in.
ii) Detailed instructions for filling up Online Recruitment Application Form are available on the above mentioned website.
iii) Salient features of Online Recruitment Application Form are as follows:
· Candidates will be required to complete the Online Recruitment Application Form as per the instructions available on the above mentioned website through drop down menus.

ii) Application Part – Educational Qualifications, Experience, Age, Fees,Scanned Photograph, Signature etc.
· Candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty Five only) [excepting Female, SC, ST & Physically Handicapped candidates who are exempted from payment of fee] either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/ Debit Card.
 · Before starting filling up of Online Recruitment Application, a candidate must have his photograph and signature duly scanned in the .png formatin such a manner that each file size should not exceed 40KB each.
 · No documents are to be submitted by the candidates while applying Online.
· The Online Recruitment Application can be filled from 14th August 2010 to 27th August 2010 till 11.59 p.m. after which the link will be disabled.

2.NATURE OF POST:All posts belong to General Central Service except otherwise mentioned.
a) Posts at S. Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 (3 posts), 10 (4 posts), 11, 12, 13 & 16 are permanent
b) Posts at S. Nos. 4, 14 & 15 are temporary.
c) Posts at S. No. 8 are temporary but likely to become permanent.
d) Posts at S. No. 9 (2 posts) & 10 (1 post) are temporary but likely to continue.
3.PAY SCALE & CLASSIFICATION: (Figures in bracket at the end of the pay scale indicate the approx total emoluments (per month) excluding TA and HRA at the minimum of the scale).

4.AGE LIMIT AS ON NORMAL CLOSING DATE:

N.B. The age limit shown against S. No. 14 is relaxed age limit for SC candidates. The age limit shown against S. No. 4 is relaxed age limit for SC and OBC candidates. The age limit shown against all other S. Nos. is normal age limit and only in these cases age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates upto 5 years & upto 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME.
