    NOTIFICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF ENGINEERS

    Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a Joint Venture of Government of India and

    Government of Karnataka, is the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the
    responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail Project.
    BMRCL invites qualified and experienced Officers for a walk-in-interview for appointment
    to key senior and middle level management positions on deputation / contract basis.
    Retired Engineers from Government / PSUs, not more than 63 years of age, are also
    eligible, irrespective of age limit prescribed.

    Deputy Chief Engineer ( 2 Posts ) Scrutiny of tender documents, checking tender drawings &
    designs, coordination with consultants, co-ordination with other
    departments and consultants, close supervision of the execution
    of works, of Viaduct and Stations, supervision of safety &
    environment, interface with all the wings.

    Deputy General Manager
    (Personnel) ( 1 Posts )
    Should handle independently recruitment, personnel matters
    including leave, pay, promotion etc. and establishment matters
    such as purchases, outsourcing, Insurance and compliance of
    all personnel related statutory requirements including PF,
    Gratuity, ESI etc.

    Executive Engineer ( 4 Posts ) Close supervision of execution of works, monitoring the contract
    conditions, assisting Dy. Chief Engineer.

    Executive Engineer (Planning) ( 2 Posts )

    Should know primavera, planning, fore-casting, suggesting catch
    up programmes for projects. Progress monitoring, monthly and
    weekly reports, resource identification, etc.

    Asst. General Manager
    (Personnel) ( 1 Posts )
    Should be capable of assisting the Dy. General Manager
    (Personnel) in the areas assigned to DGM (P) and independently
    handle labour matters including statutory compliances under
    various Labour Welfare Acts as well as attend to cases before
    Labour Welfare Authorities.

    Assistant Executive Engineer
    (Quality) ( 4 Posts )
    Ensure quality assurance and quality control, suggest suitable
    methods to improve quality, manage day to day QC tests at site
    and in lab, identification of resources, mix designs, etc..

    Assistant Executive Engineer
    (Works) ( 2 Posts )
    On field supervision of execution of works, monitoring contract
    conditions, assisting the Executive Engineers.

    Asst. Executive Engineer (Safety)
    ( 12 Posts )
    Educate on safety issues, ensure safety measures, suggest
    improvements in safety measure, prepare weekly & monthly
    reports, prepare Safety, Health and Environment guidelines, etc.

    Assistant Engineer ( 22 Posts ) Assist site engineer, supervise bar bending, shuttering,
    concreting, piling, pre cast structures supervision, etc.

    Environment Officer ( 1 Posts ) Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance in respect of
    environment issues of the Project including coordination with local
    bodies for obtaining permissions etc. Shall be responsible for
    developing plantation and looking after issues relating to Carbon
    Credit

    Manager (Finance) ( 1 Posts ) Shall be responsible for processing work contract bills,
    maintaining all registers, maintaining and monitoring bank
    guarantees, scrutinizing contract bills, preparation of pay-bills,
    settlement of perquisites, passing TA and Medical bills,
    maintaining Asset Register, coordinating with Internal and
    Statutory Auditors.

    Manager (Personnel)
    ( 2 Posts ) Shall assist Dy. General Manager and Asst. General Manager

    (Personnel) in all matters relating to personnel, establishment and
    statutory compliances.

    Manager (Public Relations) ( 1 Posts )Shall assist CPRO in matters relating to Media (Press / TV) ,
    Advertisements, Notifications, interactions with Press / TV Media,
    Protocol duties, liaison with Government Departments/ public on
    day to day affairs.

    Executive Assistant (Public
    Relations) ( 1 Posts )
    Shall look after Media (Press / TV), liaison for hotel
    arrangements , public interactions, petitions under RTI Act and
    assist in day to day work of Manager (PR) and CPRO. Should
    be capable of managing the front office, attending to phone calls,
    movement of visitors, EPABX, Fax, copier, scanner, supervising
    housekeeping staff, disbursal of tender documents and receipt of
    sealed tenders and general office up keep.

    Executive Assistant (Primavera) ( 2 Posts ) Shall be responsible for the usage and maintenance of Primavera

    software. Shall assist the officer incharge of Project Management
    / Contract Management through optimum utilization of Primavera
    software including status updation, coordination with company
    officers for obtaining information for such updation and generation
    of MIS reports.

    Executive Assistant (Legal)
    ( 1 Posts ) Shall assist the Law Officer in all legal matters / Court cases etc.

    Should be proficient in legal drafting, attending and following up
    court cases and briefing the Advocates.

    III. CONTRACT APPOINTMENT
    1. The Contract Appointment will be initially for 3 years, extendable for further periods on
    mutually agreed terms and conditions.
    2. The contractual period of appointment may be terminated by either side by giving 30
    days notice or by paying the contractual remuneration of one month in lieu of notice
    period, if the circumstances so warrant.

    IV. CONDITIONS
    1. Prescribed qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not
    entitle candidates to be called for interview.
    2. The experience is post qualification and the minimum required. Mere possession of
    minimum experience does not confer any right for interview / selection.
    3. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside
    influence with regard to selection/appointment shall be a disqualification.
    4. Selection will be by a Committee constituted by the Competent Authority.
    5. The candidates who are working with State Government Departments / Public Sector
    Undertakings may attend the walk-in-interview and if the candidate is selected,
    BMRCL will seek consent for deputation from the respective Organization. In respect
    of candidates working in Central government / Central PSUs, they may attend the
    walk-in-interview , after obtaining prior permission from their respective Organisations..

    V. SELECTION
    1. Candidates appearing for walk-in-interview should down load application format
    attached, fill up the same and come along with all the relevant certificates, testimonials
    as prescribed for the post in originals and one set of Photostat copies for verification.
    After verification, the candidate has to submit a set of Photostat copies of verified
    certificates and testimonials.
    2. Any candidate found guilty of impersonation or submitting fabricated documents or
    making statements, which are false or incorrect or attempts to use unfair means for the
    purpose of recruitment, will be liable for rejection.
    3. The candidate shall have to indicate his/her acceptance to the offer within fifteen days
    from the receipt of offer, if not, next candidate in order of merit will be offered the
    appointment on similar lines. The Competent Authority may grant such extension of time
    depending upon the exigencies.
    4. The candidates shall have to appear for interview at their own cost.

    VI. MISCELLANEOUS
    1. Documents in support of qualification and relevant experience shall be submitted along
    with the Resume at the time of interview. Non-submission of documents along with the
    Resume, will lead to rejection of candidature at any stage during the process of
    recruitment.
    2. BMRCL shall not be liable for any damage / injury / loss to the individual, if any,
    sustained during the entire recruitment process and journey.
    3. Management reserves the right to assess fitness or otherwise of the candidates
    selected.

    VII. TIME & DATE OF WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
    Interviews for all the posts specified above will be held at BMRCL Head Office at 3rd Floor,
    BMTC Complex, K.H. Road, Shanthinagar, Bangalore-560 027, every Friday and Saturday
    starting from 6th August 2010. Interviews will be held from 2.30 PM to 6.30 PM on 6th
    August, 13th and 14th August , 20th and 21st August, 27th and 28th August 2010 and 3rd
    and 4th September 2010.
