English Poems : By meenulau
serenity
The silhouetted trees loomed large at bay,
the whistling winds in the vale,
singing a lullaby to the daffodils in the dale;
To the horizon across that spread so far,
there were miles to soar and reach afar,
the twilight giving way to the shade,
the birds for a repose flew above the glade;
The brook, the meadow,
the highland, the grass blade,
every iota tiptoed into quietude,
enduring the heat of the day;
The dusk melting into a dawn,
without delay it happens everyday;
Not a cry of bird, not a rustle of leaf,
not a sound that could break the stillness so deep;
The silence was God,
the infinity was divine,
I felt His presence
in the finitude so sublime.

Hi meenulau
Welcome to the forum.
