Admission Notification for MBA & MBA IB Programs of the Faculty Session 2015-16

COURSE OF STUDIES AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University invites applications for admission to the following two-year, four-semester Post-Graduate Management courses in Business Administration for the Academic Session 2015-16.
1. Master of Business Administration - (MBA) - 46 seats
With specialization* in Marketing/HRM/Finance/Operations Management/ Information Technology (as specified in the prevailing ordinance governing the conduct of the Program)

2. Master of Business Administration – International Business (MBA - IB) - 46 seats
With specialization* in Marketing/HRM/Finance/Operations Management/ Information Technology / Global Business Operations (as specified in the prevailing ordinance governing the conduct of the Program) (* Minimum required strength in each elective group is 5 students.)

Eligibility for MBA & MBA-IB Program:
Admission to the MBA & MBA-IB Programs shall be made through CAT. Eligibility criteria defined under CAT shall be deemed as applicable provided candidates belong to categories other than SC / ST has secured a minimum 50% marks at the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates, at least 45% marks are required.

(a) A graduate degree under 10+2+3 Pattern,
OR
(b) A degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law,
OR
(c) A Post-graduate degree in any discipline.

FILLING OF ADMISSION APPLICATION FORM & RELATED INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The application Forms along with Information Bulletin for registering at FMS, B.H.U. can be obtained:
From the Counter at FMS Office, BHU:
Against State Bank of India Bank Draft /Bankers cheque of the value of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 800/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of The Registrar, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, payable at SBI BHU Main Branch (Code No. 0211) on all working days between 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. from 16th September 2014 to 31st December 2014. Downloading from the Web Site : Candidates may also download application form from the BHU web site (www.bhu.ac.in/fms ) and submit the duly filled in application along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of The Registrar, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, payable at SBI BHU Main Branch (Code No. 0211) on or before 31 December 2014.

Note: CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO FILL THE APPLICATION FORM IN THEIR OWN HANDWRITING. INCOMPLETE FORM, APPLICATION NOT BEARING THE SIGNATURE OF THE APPLICANT AT ALL ON THE SPECIFIED PLACES AND APPLICATION FORMS RECEIVED AFTER THE LAST DATE SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED. THE UNIVERSITY TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DELAY OR LOSS OF APPLICATION FORM OR CORRESPONDENCE IN POSTAL TRANSIT /COURIER.

2. Please ensure that a passport size photograph signed by you is pasted on the space provided for in the application form.

3. No Application Form shall be considered for admission unless it is complete in all respects including attested copy of the photograph of the candidate containing his/her signature thereon and other documents specified are attached thereto, such as, photocopy of CAT 2014 Admit Card and Demand Draft of specified amount (for downloaded applications only).

4. Candidates are advised to keep sufficient number of extra copies of the same photograph, which has been pasted on application form for future use, as and when needed.

5. The Category to which the applicant belongs once mentioned on the Application Form by ‘tick’ mark (“V “) will be final and no subsequent change will be allowed. If boxes requiring indication of category on the application form are left blank, the candidate will be treated under “General Category’.

6. Application Forms of candidates who have submitted forged/fake certificates/documents or adopted fraudulent means shall be rejected without any intimation to the candidates. Further, such candidates shall be debarred from appearing in any subsequent entrance test conducted by B.H.U.

7. Any related legal litigation in respect of the admission shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the local court of Varanasi and/or Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad only.

8. Candidates are required to give their mobile number and valid email id and advised to check for SMS/Email alerts on admission related matters.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS to be enclosed with application form Candidate must send the following documents with his/her application:
i) Demand Draft of the specified amount for the downloaded applications.
ii) A xerox copy of the admit card issued by IIMs for appearing in CAT 2014.
iii) 2 self-addressed unstamped envelopes (27cm X 12 cm) for correspondence.
iv) Self attested copies of Marksheets of Class X, Class XII and qualifying examination.
v) Appearing Certificate from the Head of the Institution in case, the candidate is appearing in the qualifying examination.
vi) Self attested copies of year-wise marksheets of qualifying examination (excluding final year, if the candidate is appearing in the qualifying examination).
vii) Self attested copy of Caste Certificate (in case of SC, ST, NC OBC).
viii) Self attested copy of disability certificate (in case of Differentially abled candidates)
