The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya invites applications in Prescribed Format for appointment on permanent/ contract basis for faculty positions in the Dept. of Mathematics as listed below, from Indian Nationals possessing consistently good academic record and requisite qualifications and experience, with commitment to work, passion for teaching & research and an inclination towards institutional development.

1.Name of the post : Asst. Professor
Pay Scale : PB-3, AGP: 8000/- Min Basic: Rs. 30,000/-
Essential Qualifications : Ph. D. with 1st Class at UG & PG levels
Relevant Experience : 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M. Tech. degree in an institution of repute or an equivalent position in a R&D laboratory or relevant industry.
Other Essential Requirements : At least 2 papers in SCI journals outside Ph. D. work. One ongoing sponsored project for candidates from academia. Two experimental or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate.

2.Name of the post : Asst. Professor (On Contract)
Pay Scale : PB-3, AGP: 7000/-
Essential Qualifications : Ph. D. with 1st Class at UG & PG levels
Relevant Experience : 1 Year
Other Essential Requirements : At least one paper in an SCI journal

3.Name of the post : Asst. Professor (On Contract)
Pay Scale : PB-3, AGP: 6000/- +07 additional non-compounded increments
Essential Qualifications : Ph. D. with 1st Class at UG & PG levels

Fee: Applicant must enclose a non-refundable application fee of ` 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) (` 250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty) only for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the form of Demand Draft only drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, payable at Shillong. Applicant must write his / her name, address and the post applied for on the back side of the bank draft
