Admission to 2nd Year / 3rd Semester Engineering Courses for B.Sc Candidates – 2014-15

Government by its Notification No. ED 103 TEC 2014 dated 25-08-2014 has directed Karnataka Examinations Authority to hold admission to 2nd Year / 3rd Semester Engineering Courses for eligible B.Sc candidates.

Pursuant to the said notification, applications are invited from eligible B.Sc. Candidates for admission to 2nd Year / 3rd Semester Engineering Courses under Lateral Entry Scheme. The seats which may remain unfilled after allotting to eligible Diploma candidates will be offered to B.Sc. students.

Academic Eligibility: Passed B. Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.

Provided that in case of students belonging to B. Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.

Determination of Merit: Merit will be determined based on the marks obtained by the candidates in all the three years in the B.Sc. Degree program.

How to Apply? :
Step1: Candidates of Karnataka origin have to download the application form from KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in on or before 05-09-2014.

Step2: Fill all the items by using blue or black ink ball point pen. Paste the photograph; affix the signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression. (Please preserve the photocopy of the filled application form and submit the same during document verification process)

Step3: Obtain Demand Draft in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore for Rs. 300/- for General and OBC (Rs.250/- for SC / ST / Category-1).

Step4: Send the filled application form along with the Demand Draft through Speed Post or in person to KEA Office, Bangalore. Last date to receive the filled application form is 08-09-2014.

NOTE:
** The information / particulars furnished by the candidates will be deemed as “Final” and will be the basis for further process. No change in any information entered by the candidates will be entertained.
** For all future information / schedules, candidates are here by informed to visit KEA website. No individual intimation will be sent in this regard.

Documents to be produced:
1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card,
2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate,
3) Candidate’s Study Certificate;
4) If claiming Rural quota: - Rural Study Certificate;
5) If claiming Kannada Medium quota: Kannada Medium Study Certificate;
6) If claiming reservation benefits: Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form F.
