ELIGIBILITY TEST – 2013
(for Admission into B.A./B.Com/B.Sc., Degree programmes)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : Candidates who do not possess Intermediate (or) its Equivalent Qualification are eligible to appear for the Eligibility Test for seeking admission into the I Year of the B.A./ B.Com./B.Sc. ( 3 YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMMES ) for the Academic Year 2013-14, provided they attain the age of 18 years by 1st July 2013. Candidates who do not complete 18 years by 1st July 2013 are not eligible to appear for the Eligibility Test.

MEDIUM & VENUE OF ET : Test will be conducted in ENGLISH, TELUGU AND URDU MEDIA at all the Study Centres of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University, located in the TWIN CITIES OF HYDERABAD, SECUNDERABAD AND IN ALL THE DISTRICTS OF ANDHRA PRADESH.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR ELIGIBILITY TEST :
a) From the Academic Year 2013-14, Candidates who wish to appear for Eligibility Test shall register “On-Line” through AP ONLINE FRANCHISE CENTRES.

b) Choose the Study/Examination Centre where you want to appear for ET Collect the Information Brochure ET-2013 (Free of Cost) either from Study Centre or from the AP On-Line Franchise Centre and read it carefully.

c) Approach nearby A.P. On-Line Franchise Centre with all the documents required, along with a latest passport size photo.

d) Give the information to the operator of the Franchise Centre to fill your ET-2013 Registration form “On- Line”, and to upload photo and signature.

e) Pay Rs. 235/- (Rupees two hundred and thirty five only) at the Franchise Centre towards Registration Fee and obtain receipt.

f) Collect a print out of Registration Form from the Franchise Centre and keep it for your reference.

Hall Tickets : Applicant shall collect Hall Tickets at least FOUR days before the examination from the Study / Examination Centre chosen by them. Hall Ticket can also be downloaded from the University Website also.

IMPORTANT DATES :

c) Date and time of Eligibility Test : 7th April 2013 (Sunday) 10.00 am to 12.30 pm

BRAOU & CESS - M.Phil & Ph.D ADMISSIONS

Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) in collaboration with Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS ) is issuing Application forms for Admission into M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes in Development Studies for the academic year 2013-14 in accordance with the guidelines issued by the UGC in June 2009. The M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes are offered in the subjects - Commerce, Development Statistics, Economics, Geography, Political Science & Public Administration and Sociology.

Eligibility : Those who wish to apply for M.Phil and Ph.D should be a Master’s Degree holder with 55 percent marks in Social Sciences and admission is based on Entrance Test and Interview. The Entrance Test will be conducted on March 17. Candidates qualified in UGC Test or any National level Test for JRF, M.Phil Degree holders from any recognized University and FIP (UGC) candidates are exempted from the entrance Test for Ph.D Admission.

How to Apply :
i) The Application form for the M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes can be obtained from Office of the Director, Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) on payment of Rs.100/- either in cash or through D.D. drawn in favour of Director, CESS. Application form and other guidelines can also be downloaded from CESS website.

ii) The last date for submission of filled-in application form with a Registration Fee for Rs 500/- by Cash or D.D at CESS office located at

Dear Concern
I am a student who wished to pursue B.Ed. course in the recent year.I will be completing my B.Sc a three year degree course from Assam University,Silchar. But unfortunately I am sure I wouldn't be able to carry my Honours Paper which is in Zoology.So my question is whether I'll be eligible for B.Ed courses in any of the Indian Universities.Please help,as BEd Entrance exam will be held during the month of May 2013.Whether pursuing Distance course for B.Ed. will be helpful?Whether after going through distant course on BEd i will be eligible for appearing CTET/TRB or furthering my career as a teacher would not hampered.
