ADMISSION INTO 2-YEAR DIPLOMA IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION COURSE (2013-2015)

Applications are hereby invited from the youths of Assam who are interested in taking up teaching profession at elementary level for admission into 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes of the state for the academic session 2013-2015 beginning from the 1st July, 2013 for acquiring the mandatory professional skill of those aspiring to take up teaching as a profession in Elementary Education, interested persons should submit their application in the prescribed format available in the website www.ssaassam.gov.in.

It may be noted that the acquiring of this diploma will not automatically enable him/her to claim recruitment in elementary schools but make him/her eligible for the same.

The total number of seats will be limited to 1100 for the Lower primary candidates and 1100 for the Upper primary candidates in 22 recognised Teacher Education Institutes of the state.

Qualification :
For Lower Primary level : The applicant must have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for OBC, SC and ST category, or, graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

For Upper Primary level : The applicant must be a graduate in any stream from a recognised University.

Age : Age of the applicant must not be less than 18 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st July, 2013

How to apply :
The applicants must submit the applications in the prescribed form along with one passport size photograph, attested copies of certificates and marks sheets, age proof certificate, caste certificate and other testimonials.

Application Fee :
Rs.100.00 (One hundred only) to be deposited in the form of IPO in favour of Principal, DIETs/ DRCs/ DEEOs of concerned district (where there is no DIET), BTC, Diphu, Karbi Anglong payable in the Head Post Office of the concerned district.

Centre for issue and receipt of application form :
All DIETs, Normal Schools of Nagaon, Sootea, Jorhat, Silchar and DEEO of Chirang, Udalguri, Baksa, BTC, Diphu (Karbi Anglong) and DRC of Dhemaji, Bongaigaon, Tinsukia and Hailakandi

Selection : Selection will be made purely on merit basis and enrolled as per intake capacity of the TEI concerned.
