MPhil in Applied Economics and PhD in Economics :

CDS invites applications for admission to its full-time residential programmes, leading to MPhil in Applied Economics and PhD in Economics

The courses will commence on Thursday, August 01, 2013. Scholars can also seek to register for PhD in Economics under the University of Kerala

1. Name of the Programme : MPhil in Applied Economics
Eligibility : Master’s in Economics/ other Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Law with >= 55% or in Sciences/ Technology /Life Sciences with >= 60%.
Written test and Personal Interviews : At CDS on JUNE 26&27, 2013

2. Name of the Programme : PhD in Economics
Eligibility : MPhil with Final Grade Point Average of at least 6.0 (high second class) on a 10 point scale and a Master’s degree with = 55% marks in Economics or related disciplines.
Written test and personal interview : Held at CDS on JULY 02&03, 2013

How to Apply :
i) Application format can be downloaded from the website.

ii) The application with enclosures should reach the
Academic Programme Office,
Centre for Development Studies,
Ulloor, Medical College (P.O),

Kerala

iii) Application is to be submitted in the PRESCRIBED FORMAT along with
a) Copies of all mark sheets/certificates from +2 onwards
b) Study Proposal written in English (Please read the GUIDELINES with the Application form)
c) Application Fee of Rs. 200, as a DD drawn in favour of the Centre for Development Studies, payable at Trivandrum.
d)  SC, ST and PH (with >= 40% disability) applicants are exempted from payment of the application
