NRCPB Inviting applications for project positions;

Name of the Project : Indo- Australian Joint Project on Crop Plants which remove their own major biotic constraints
Name of the Post : Research Associate

Emoluments Fixed per month : Consolidated Rs.22000- 24000/- p.m. + 30% HRA
Qualifications : Essential: Ph.D. Degree or 3 years of research experience after M.Sc. with 60% marks, in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/any discipline of biology.
Desirable :
1. Working Experience of three years or more in Molecular Biology Techniques preferably in gene isolation, cloning, plant tissue culture and genetic transformation with proof.
2. Proficiency in bioinformatics and experience in software based data analysis.

Qualifications : Essential :
1. UGC-CSIR/ICAR NET/SET qualified only.
2. M.Sc with 60% marks and with thesis in any discipline of biology
3. B.Sc in Agriculture or Biology or basic science
Desirable:
1. Working Experience of at least two year in Molecular Biology Techniques preferably in gene isolation, cloning, plant tissue culture and genetic transformation.
2. Knowledge in computer application & bioinformatics

Qualifications : Candidates must have passed intermediate (12th Standard). Candidate with prior experience in any reputed research lab and in field work will be given preference.

Name of the Project : PPV&FRA project on Establishment of Referral Laboratory for conducting Special Test.
Name of the Post : Laboratory Assistant

Eligible candidates may appear in Walk-in-Interview on March 2, 2012 at 10 AM for the posts of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) in the following DBT/ICAR funded projects.

1.Name of the project : Puccinia triticina genomics network on De Novo genome sequencing, fitness, variation and pathogenicity (DBT)
Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow ( UGCCSIR/ DBT/ ICAR Net qualified only)

Pay Scale : Rs. 16000/- + 30% HRA and Rs. 18000+30 HRA from 3rd year onwards
Essential Qualifications :
1. ICAR/ UGCCSIR/ DBT Net qualified only
2. M. Sc. (with thesis) in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biosciences/ Bioinformatics, Genetics/ Plant Pathology with experience in molecular biology.
